Dovilė – Agnė Korytė, Kauno Kolegija / University of Applied Sciences, pharmacotechnics cathedral student, fulfilled bachelor's degree thesis, which had topic “Marketings factors that make impact to inhabitants acquiring drugs in Kelme ”.
Goal. To reveal marketing actions, which make impact to inhabitants decisions about acquiring drugs.
Tasks. 1. To describe pharmacy marketing situation in Lithuania. 2. To reveal four marketing elements concept and distribution. 3. Define X number of drugstores online websites that uses marketing tools to make impact on buying their products. 4. Estimate marketing actions, which make impact to Kelme inhabitants drugs choices.
Methodology. Data was acquired by using online survey, which had 17 different questions about pharmacy and its choices. I got answers from 105 different people, 62 of respondents were women and rest 43 were men. X number of drugstores online websites analysis.
Results. 45.4% of respondents in drugstore often buys drugs. 28.6% of inhabitants make a statement that the most important factor for them about choosing the drugstore are discounts and special offers. Drugs advertisement takes a big place too, one third of the people sees it on local television – 33.3%. If discount is offered for any drug 43.3% of respondents are prone to buy it in the larger quantity. 37.1% of people are looking for the best choice before buying any of the drugs, 33.3% of respondents already has the best suitable brand for them and always pick it.
Conclusion. 1. Marketing is the concept, which has the main point of it – customers. It is one of the most important part of any business. First drugstores in Lithuania were opened in the 16th century, since then marketing has started getting his pace. Companies had to do their best to offer the best marketing techniques to compete against others. 2. Marketing complex contains 4 elements (4P), if company knows how it works then they know how to make good strategical decisions. 4P are product, place, price and promotion they all are connected and only if you are using them together they work. 3. The important factor that affects drugs buying are discounts and special offers, which most seen on the television. If the price satisfactory for the client they are prone to buy more drugsPatient likes when the pharmacist has a good knowledge about drugs they are offering, also when the pharmacyst can recommend something for them.4. The drugstores websites are choosing colors of the design carefully, advertisers are the main power that let drugstores get interest from customers. |
