Santrauka:
Description:
Every person in his life faces various inflammations that arise for many reasons: a complication of diseases, due to injuries, infections and other causes. Inflammation is accompanied by symptoms such as pain, high temperature, poor overall well-being, so people are looking for a quick and effective way to reduce the symptoms (especially pain). Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are used to the symptoms. However, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that have been used for a long time, damage the stomach lining, and can cause gastric ulcers, inhibit kidney function, impair cardiovascular activity, affect blood clots, and cause other adverse effects. Therefore it is necessary to assess the effects of NSAIDs on human health.
The aim of the undergraduate thesis is to determine the opinion of the population about the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Research tasks:
1. To reveal the concept of the NSAIDs, the effect on pain, frequency of use, and possible negative health effects.
2. To reveal habits of consumption of the NSAIDs in Lithuania.
3. To investigate the opinion of the population about the NSAIDs in pain relief.
Scientific literature analysis method was used in the thesis, which helped to uncover the theoretical aspects of the use of the NSAIDs. The analysis of the statistics allowed us to assess the trends of the use of the NSAIDs in Lithuania and other countries. The summary method was used to draw conclusions. A quantitative study was carried out in which a questionnaire survey method was used.
The study was conducted by adult people (aged 18 years and over) who were visiting Kaunas clinics in Lithuania. The research sample is 100 full-time residents of Lithuania.
The final bachelor consists of introduction, two sections of work, conclusions, recommendations, references. Part one presents the concept, benefits and damages of the NVNU, consumption habits in Lithuania. The second part of the work is intended to describe the research methodology and provide a study, i.e. surveys, results tables and illustrations. At the end of the thesis, there are some conclusions and recommendations on how to improve public health and to shape a more health-friendly attitude to NVNU pain management.
