English for Students of Law is a course for learners of English (B1 – C1) levels, who might need the key concepts of law to be able to use and apply them in their future professional activities and in the business world overall. The learning materials cover the most important topics in law and legislation. This set of training materials is aimed to develop professional vocabulary, comprehension, fluency of speech and thought, alongside with reading, writing, and speaking skills, to assist students or adult learners to join the labour market and settle in it more successfully.
The course consists of twenty two units, each of which focuses on a specific area of a legal topic. Each article is followed by question series to consolidate issues analysed in the text. Every unit contains the section of Word Bank with definitions of new words and expressions related to the topic discussed.
There are also several exercises included to practise the active vocabulary. The units are not graded in terms of difficulty, so they do not need necessarily be followed in the printed order. These learning materials can be used as for self-study, so for classroom work either individually or in team activity.
