Temos naujumas/aktualumas. Autizmas yra sudėtingas raidos sutrikimas, kuriam būdingas sutrikęs socialinis bendravimas, kalbos raidos ir komunikacijos problemos, netipiškas, keistas elgesys, vaizduotės bei laiko suvokimo problemos, visiškas atsiribojimas, savęs stimuliavimas, pažinimo sferos sutrikimai, stereotipiškas elgesys. Autizmo spektro sutrikimą turinčių vaikų socialinė adaptacija yra sunki, aktuali ir iki šiol neišspęsta problema. Pedagogai yra vieni iš pirmųjų vaiko gyvenime žmonių, kurie turėtų žinoti įvairius ugdymo metodus lengvinančius socialinę adaptaciją ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigoje.
Darbo tikslas: atskleisti vaikų, turinčių autizmo spektro sutrikimą, socialinę adaptaciją ikimokyklinio ugdymo įstaigoje.

Novelty / relevance of the topic. Autism is a complex developmental disorder characterized by impaired social communication, problems with language development and communication, atypical, strange behavior, problems with imagination and perception of time, complete isolation, self-stimulation, cognitive impairment, stereotyped behavior. The social adaptation of children with autism spectrum disorders is a difficult, pressing and unresolved issue. Educators are among the first people in a child’s life to be aware of the various educational methods that facilitate social adaptation in a preschool.
The aim of the study: to reveal the social adaptation of children with autism spectrum disorders in preschool education.
