Baigiamojo darbo teorinėje dalyje analizuojama transporto vieta logistikos grandinėje, krovinių vežimo organizavimas bei terminalų vaidmuo krovinių pervežimo organizavimo procese. Analitinėje dalyje analizuojama UAB „Alfa“ krovinių paskirstymo organizavimas. Atliktas UAB „Alfa“ krovinių paskirstymo tobulinimo Šiaulių regione tyrimas. Projektinėje dalyje pateikiami UAB „Alfa“ Šiaulių terminalo krovinių paskirstymo tobulinimo pasiūlymai: terminalo tobulinimas, naujo vežėjo paieška, krovinių srauto nukreipimas į artimiausią terminalą.

Lithuania is a transit country, thus without a doubt, the development of logistics is crucial here. In Lithuania, lots of logistics companies are being established at the time, which help goods travel from manufacturer to consumer. However, the needs of consumers are rising equally as fast, which form ever bigger requirements for the quality of services, these requirements are to be taken into account for the development of supplied services. The most relevant topic – the most important aspect of shipment transportation is speed, i.e. speed of the transportationas well as quick shipment loading/unloading process, transhipmentalongside switching between different means of transportation. All these goals are aided by shipment terminals. UAB “Alfa” is a logistics company which has 5 terminals in Lithuania. As more and more shipments are being delivered to Šiauliai region, company aims at more effective shipment distribution of shipments. Because of large amounts of shipments, shipment distribution in Šiauliai region is not as successful and fast in other terminals of the company. Therefore, to deal with this issue with the distribution of shipments, it is essential to delve deeper into this topic. The main problem of the professional BA thesis – because of incorrect distribution and delivery of shipments, not keeping up with deadlines, problem of shipments being late arises. As a result, orders of shipments are not being fulfilled in time. The aim of the professional BA thesis – analysis of development of possibilities for shipment distribution in Šiauliai region. Methods of the professional BA thesis – literature analysis, qualitative structural interview, quantitative observation study, analysis of company data, SWOT analysis. The structure – in the first part of work, transport location in logistics chain is analysed, as well as organisation of shipment transportation and the role of terminals in process of shipping.In the analytic part, organisation of shipment distribution in UAB “Alfa” is analysed. Analysis of shipment distribution improvement in UAB “Alfa” in Šiauliai region.In the project part, suggestions for improvements of distribution of shipments in UAB “Alfa” in Šiauliai region: improvement of terminal, search for new carrier, redirection of shipment load to the closest terminal. The results – complete literature analysis, using which, shipment terminal importance for redirection of shipments is emphasised, identification of problems of shipment distribution in Šiauliai region – non-compliance with shipment collectionand delivery dates. With research analysis, it was clarified, that it is largely influenced by the increase of shipment load, large number of different delivery locationsas well as incorrectly developed terminal in Šiauliai. Short suggestions/recommendations – for improvement of UAB „Alfa” shipment distribution in Šiauliai region, instalment of transport management system “Kewill” is suggested as well as training courses for the use of it, also, updating the loading equipment was suggested – buying two electronic loading vehicles, modernisation of old ramp and installing a new one with sluice – ramp hut, purchasing barcode printer and two barcode scanners, hiring two new employees – managers who would coordinate shipment delivery in Šiauliai region as well as export to other terminals. Improvement of terminal for the company costs 84554Eur, it is estimated that the profit will increase by 9%, and the company will pay off expenses within 6 months. The work consists of 65 pages, 14 tables, 34 pictures, 40 references and sources of information, 9 appendices.
