Relevance of the topic Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disease with facial erythema, swelling, sensitivity, papules and pustules. Rosacea is a medical term. It is devided into four tipes. Of all dermatologically diagnosed diseases, 1% is rosacea. That contains more than 40 million people all over the world. Jackson JM., Knuckles M., Minni JP et al state that only 10% of people suffering this disease go for professional help. The real reason of occurrence of rosacea is still unknown. Crawford GH., Pele MT., James WD note that the reasons might be vascular changes, degeneration of the matrix of the dermis, environmental factors and the appearance of the microorganisms such as Demodex foliculorum, Helicobacter pylori on the skin. To affect rosacea and to take care about it is a difficult mission. Reserva J., Champlain A., Soon SL et al note that chemical peels combined with other cosmetics brings good results on rosacea affected skin. The aim of the research. To reveal the opinion about maintenance of the skin by using cosmetics and cosmetic procedures of the women who has rosacea. The tasks of the research. 1. To define the symptoms classification and etiology of rosacea. 2. Theoretically justify maintenance of the skin by using cosmetics and cosmetic procedures of the women who has rosacea. 3. Determine the opinion about maintenance of the skin by using cosmetics and cosmetic procedures of the women who has rosacea. Methods of the research. 1. The analysis of the scientific and professional literature. The aim is to justify the symptoms and the reasons of rosacea ant to explain maintenance of the skin by using the cosmetics and cosmetic procedures. 2. The questionnaire was made. The aim was to find out the opinion about maintenance of the skin by using cosmetics and cosmetic procedures of the women who has rosacea. 3. Statistical analysis of the questionnaire data. The aim is to discuss and describe the data and to portray it graphically by using Microsoft Office Excel program. Conclusions 1. Rosacea manifests itself as facial erythema, perspiration, itching, rash, blood vessel dilation, swelling. Disease is devided into four tipes: erythematotelangiectatic, papulopustular, sebaceous gland hyperplasia and ocular. The real reason of
occurrence of rosacea is still unknown. The reasons might be external factors (UV, extreme temperatures, diet, addictions, improper skin care, microorganisms on the skin) and internal factors (blood vessel anomalies, immune system and internal organs disorders, genetic predisposition, age, degeneration of the matrix of the dermis). 2. Recommendations for rosacea patients is the use of cosmetics which includes vitamins K, P, C, omega acids, flavonoids, antioxidants, also soothing, cooling, hydrating, blood vessel reinforcing, nourishing, protecting skin barrier rebuilding cosmetic procedures. 3. Interview results show that majority of women who have rosacea have enough information about their disease. Participants know the harm that makes the sun to the skin. They take care of the skin: look after it at home, visit cosmetologists. More than a half of women note that cosmetologists offer them soothing and hydrating procedures. Half of women notice that their skin has less erythema after cosmetic procedures. Majority of respondents use cosmetic products which include aloe, chamomile, vitamin C. Not only rosacea affects people social and personal life it also causes psychological problems.
