Šiandien vis plačiau suvokiama pscihikos sveikatos centro veikla, kur teikiamos integruotos, kompleksinės paslaugos. Vienas iš svarbių psichikos sveikatos centro specialistų yra socialinis darbuotojas, todėl reikalinga kalbėti apie jo funkcijas ir vaidmenis psichikos sveikatos centre teikiant socialines paslaugas emocinių ir elgesio sutrikimų turintiems paaugliams, taip pat išsiaiškinti, kokios jo paslaugos reikalingiausios šių problemų turintiems paaugliams.

The final thesis "Social workers' activities at the Mental health centre when providing social services for adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems", issued by Inga Savickienė, a 4th year extended studies student, who has been studying Social work at the Faculty of Medicine of the Kaunas University of Applied Sciences (supervisor lect. Povilas Beseckas).
Relevance of the topic: The number of adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders increases due to the complicated relationships in the family, difficult period of adolescence and modern society's tendencies. Today, the activity of the Mental health centre, where the integrated, complex services are provided, becomes more and more widely recognized. A social worker is one of the most important specialists at the Mental health centre; therefore, it is necessary to talk about his/her functions and responsibilities at the Mental health centre when providing social services for adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders, as well as to find out what services provided by him/her are the most necessary for adolescents with such problems.
Practical value of the thesis: This thesis can be useful for the social workers working for Mental health centres, who are seeking for better understanding of the possibilities offered by social services to adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems, as well as for the research done by the academic community that is interested in the activities of a social worker at the Mental health centre.
Aim of the thesis: To reveal the activities of social workers at the Mental health centre when providing social services for adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems.
Object of the thesis: The activities of social workers at the Mental health centre when providing social services for adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems.
Question under research: What are the activities of social workers at the Mental health centre when providing social services for adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems?
Research method: The questionnaire survey. The non-probable targeted, convenient selection. 80 respondents, whose children adolescents (12-16 years old teenagers) are treated at one Mental health centre, were interviewed.
Findings of the research: The analysis of the research results proved that the respondents, whose children are treated at one Mental health centre, are familiar with the activities of social workers and with the possibilities for making use of their services at this centre. The children of the majority of respondents have already made use of such services. The attention is focused on the individual aid plan, on deepening into the child's social, emotional and behavioural problems. It was noticed that the respondents expect social workers to provide complex services, the emphasis is laid on the effectiveness and quality of aid, there is the desire to improve the access to social workers.
