Seksualinė prievarta – aktuali socialinė problema mūsų visuomenėje, neigiamai paveikianti moters fizinę, psichinę ir reprodukcinę sveikatą bei galinti turėti ilgalaikių liekamųjų reiškinių. Teikiant pagalbą seksualinę prievartą patyrusioms moterims, svarbų vaidmenį atlieka socialinis darbuotojas, kuris siekia sumažinti patirtos seksualinės prievartos pasekmes ir teikia pagalbą gerinant šių moterų gyvenimą.

An important role in providing assistance to women who have been sexually assaulted is played by the social worker, who seeks to reduce the consequences of the sexual assault she has experienced and provides assistance in improving the lives of these women.
