Santrauka:
didelis cholesterolio kiekis kraujyje.
1. Teoriškai pagrįsti cholesterolio, lipidų, lipoproteinų poveikį žmogaus organizmui, susirgti
širdies ir kraujagyslių ligomis, cholesterolio normą.
2. Apibendrinti farmacijos specialisto teikiamą farmacinę paslaugą apie vaistinius preparatus,
mažinančius cholesterolio kiekį kraujyje.
3. Nustatyti gyventojų požiūrį į padidėjusį cholesterolio kiekį kraujyje ir vaistinių preparatų,
jam mažinti vartojimą.
Tyrimo metodai: Mokslinės literatūros analizė, empirinio tyrimo (klausimyno) analizė, statistinė
gautų duomenų analizė. Tyrimui buvo naudojama anoniminė anketa, gauti rezultatai analizuoti
Microsoft Office Excel 2010 programa.
Description:
Relevance of the topic: Cardiovascular disease accounts for 31% of all deaths and is the leading
cause of mortality. 85% of these causes of death are heart attack and stroke, and their precursor is
high blood cholesterol. As this is a serious problem in the world, people need to be taught how to
track and control their blood cholesterol levels and should also be informed about tests and
medications.
Aim of research: To reveal the population's attitude towards the use of drugs that lower blood
cholesterol.
The object of the research: The attitude of the population towards drugs that lower blood
cholesterol and their consumption.
Study problem: What is the population's attitude towards the use of drugs that lower blood
cholesterol?
Research tasks:
1. Theoretically substantiate the effect of cholesterol, lipids, lipoproteins on the human
body, the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol rate.
2. To summarize the pharmaceutical service provided by a pharmacist about drugs that
lower blood cholesterol.
3. To determine the attitude of the population to the increased cholesterol level in the
blood and the use of drugs to reduce it.
Research methods: Analysis of scientific literature, analysis of empirical research
(questionnaire), statistical analysis of the obtained data. An anonymous questionnaire was used for
the research, and the results were analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel 2010.
Research subjects: The study involved 150 patients at a public pharmacy. Subjects ranged in age
from 18 to 70 years. The sample of subjects is simple, random.
Results of the study: The results of the study show that fluctuating blood pressure (28%) and
heart problems (26.7%) are the most common health problem of the respondents. A small
8
proportion of respondents (15.3%) identified hyperlipidemia as a health disorder. Chronic diseases
that were oncological, diabetes, kidney stones were identified as a health disorder. Gastric disease,
thyroid dysfunction, bronchial asthma. Almost a tenth of respondents (9.3%) suffered a heart
attack and (6%) a stroke. The results of the study suggest that hyperlipidemia is closely related and
has a direct association with cardiovascular disease. More than a fifth (22%) of respondents take
medications. The most commonly used medicines are the active substance atorvastatin (52%),
more than a third (39%) are taking rosuvastatin, and almost a tenth (9%) of respondents report
taking ezetimibe. Almost half (44.3%) of the respondents use food supplements. The most popular
food supplements are ethyl esters of omega - 3 acids (20%). A very similar proportion (19.4%)
take Omega - 3 supplements. The majority of respondents (60%) are aware of the risk factors,
prevention, heredity of high blood cholesterol, understand and assess the possible harm of alcohol
consumption, smoking, and malnutrition to the body. Less than a third of respondents (29.3%)
smoke, more than a tenth (15.3%) stated that they quit smoking. Nearly a third of respondents
(32%) are abstainers and just over a third (38%) drink alcohol once a month.
