Antrojoje analitinėje dalyje analizuojama įmonės veikla, pateikiama finansinė analizė, pateikiama konkurentų analizė, SSGG ir PEST analizės, aprašomi teisės aktai, kuriais vadovaujasi įmonė. Atliekamas empirinis tyrimas siekiant išsiaiškinti, kokios priežastys generuoja didžiausią nepristatytų siuntų skaičių. Trečiojoje dalyje pateikiami problemos sprendimo pasiūlymai, finansiniai skaičiavimai.

Title of the attainment: UAB „DPD Lietuva” express delivery improvement. The online trading is becoming rapidly popular therefore it is having a huge impact on the companies which are involved in time-critical shipments. Successful businesses which link themselves with production and sales are dependent on the delivery of goods within the scheduled terms. Each company is looking for reliable partners so that when expanding business opportunities expand as well. The time-critical delivery market is growing, competing; therefore it is very important to maintain the quality of timecritical shipments, as it depends on quality as to whether the company will succeed in leading the market. In order to lead the market, it is necessary to continuously improve and find new ways to improve the processes and apply new, innovative ideas. The statement of the problem: delivering urgent deliveries, taking into account the robustness of the shipment system, a large proportion of the shipment is not provided until the deadline set by the payee. In this work, the problem was raised - which ways to improve the delivery of „DPD Lietuva” would improve these results. The aim: express delivery improvement. Comparing the attributes of different authors, describe the main theoretical aspects of logistics. To analyse the activities of UAB „DPD Lietuva”. Finding the reason which causes the main problem - the delivery is not being delivered by the scheduled terms. To submit proposals to the company how to solve the problem, in order to reduce the number of undelivered shipments to 2 precent in Kaunas region with the lowest possible costs. The methods: academic literature analysis, an analysis of the company's activity, an indirect observation study was carried out. The structure: The bachelor thesis consists of three parts. The first part of the paper describes the aspects of the transportation and organization of time-critical parcels, the concept of logistics, and the main problems of the carriage of time-urgent parcels. The second analytical part analyses the activities of the company, financial analysis is presented, the activities of the company are defined, the analysis of competitors is presented, SWOT and Pest analyses, description of the legislation by which the company is guided by. An empirical study is conducted to find out what causes a large number of undelivered parcels. The results of the study are presented. The third part presents problem solving proposals, financial calculations, and alternatives.

The results: The theoretical logistic transportation processes were analysed. Based on Lithuanian and foreign authors, the main problems of transportation of shipments were identified. The practice of UAB “DPD Lietuva” was analysed, consideration of the legislation on which the company operates, SWOT, PEST, economic analysis, competition analysis, business management system analysis, empirical study of time-critical deliveries and offers from the research received – solutions to the problem were suggested. Suggestions: 1. The introduction of an additional self-service module at time-critical carriers’ terminals, which would allow cash or card payment for the item. 2. Developing two special tours that will only be delivering the undelivered parcels in the Kaunas region and will maintain the time-critical carriers’ self-service terminals. 3. Installation of the business management system module, separate functions with the recipient's requisites. 4. The recruitment of an additional worker who would directly be responsible for the information available in real time and immediately manage the undelivered parcel.
