Santrauka:
Description:
The last time pig population assessment was undertaken in 2006 years and therefore, it is necessary to update the data of the pig population assessment and classification method. The work refers to one of the carcass companies. In this company was 21 farms, the total numbers of data was – 5778 vnt. Work was carried in Kaunas College research technology. The received data has been fixed with ,,Fat-o-Meat’er” S70 (FOM) apparatus. In this work was analyzed pig fat, carcass weight, lean meat classes, fattering pigs and weight categories. All indicators was comparied with total farm average. Research object. Pig carcasses in slaughter company, pig farms. Problem. It is necessary to implement assessment of the pig population and improvement of methods for grading pig carcasses. Methods used in the research: data grouping, distribution and analysis (scientific publications analysis, document analysis, statistical analysis, comparative analysis). Research object’s criteria: carcasses’ classifying company X’s activity, evaluation of fat thickness of pigs, muscle diameter, carcass weight assessment, lean meat assessment of carcasses, assessment of lean meat classes, evaluation of categories 1 and 2 of the buckthorn thickness category and assessment of weight categories. Research purpose – to analyze the quality of pig carcasses in various Lithuanian farms. Tasks: To depict pig carcasses classification system. To analyze pig fat thickness quality indicators as per farms. To examine pig carcasses weight quality indicators as per farms. To investigate pig muscularity quality indicators in various Lithuanian farms. Research conclusions: 1. In EU settled for sold pigs is in accordance with carcass weight and quality. A single .carcass classification system SEUROP was developed to ensure that all carcasses of animals in the EU are equally valued. In SEUROP carcass grading scale in Lithuania, the number of enterprises in units. The number was 2017-2018, 7 weeks, in 2017. - 10,328 units, and in 2018 - 10.802 units, the best categories of musculature in 2017 were classified in 7.147 units, and in 2018, 7.566 units, the change among them was 23.39 proc. 2. Analysis of the results shows that fat thickness was fluctuating between the farms on the average of the total farms. The total average of farm was 16.1 mm. From this general average, much more higher averages were 3,16,7 and 1 numbered farms accordingly 21,3, 18,7, 18,4 and 18,1 mm, and lower averages were 2,19 and 8 farms accordingly, 12,7, 13.3 and 14.1 mm.
3. Summing up the carcass weight of all farms it is visible that the total average of all farms is 84,4 kg. The highest average farm average was in 21, 20 and 12 farms, respectively, 103,7, 97,0 and 90,3 kg. The he lowest carcass weights were in 2,3 and 18 farms respectively 75.3, 75.6 and 77,4 kg. 4. In summary, the percentage of lean meat content of the carcasses of the farms shows that total lean meat content of farms is 59.8 proc. 5,20 and 21 farms exceeded the total
