smurtas prieš moteris – aktuali mūsų visuomenės problema. Susirūpinimas moterimis, patiriančiomis prievartą, auga ir Lietuvoje, ir visame pasaulyje. Norint keisti situaciją steigiami krizių centrai, atliekami sociologiniai tyrimai. Smurto prieš moteris artimoje aplinkoje reiškinį tyrė, tačiau kokiomis profesinėmis vertybėmis turėtų vadovautis socialiniai darbuotojai, dirbdami krizių centruose su smurtą artimoje aplinkoje patyrusiomis moterimis, nėra plačiau nagrinėta. Smurtą patiriančioms moterims būtina specialistų pagalba ir šiame procese socialinio darbuotojo vaidmuo yra ypač svarbus. Todėl, siekiant užtikrinti tinkamą ir savalaikę pagalbą šioms moterims bei gerinti jų gyvenimo kokybę, svarbu atskleisti socialinių darbuotojų profesines vertybes dirbant krizių centruose su smurtą artimoje aplinkoje patyrusiomis moterimis.

domestic violence is a very relevant problem in our society. The concern is growing for women who are experiencing domestic violence not only in Lithuania but also worldwide. Wanting to change the situation crisis centres are being established, carrying out of sociological research. The phenomenon of domestic violence against women is being investigated, but there is not much scientific literature which defines what professional values social workers should follow while working with women who have experienced domestic violence in crisis centres. The help of specialists is needed for women who have experienced domestic violence and a social worker role is very significant in the process. Therefore, it is important to reveal professional values of social workers while working in crisis centres with women who have experienced domestic violence wanting to ensure the useful help and to improve their welfare for those women
