Temos aktualumas: Australijoje apie 46 tūkst. žmonių gyvena su suformuota stoma (The
Australian Council of Stoma Associations Inc, 2018). Žalkauskaitė ir Gulbinienė (2015) atliktas
tyrimas atskleidė, kaip jaučiasi pacientai - 12,5 proc. apklaustųjų net ir praėjus trims mėnesiams po
stomos suformavimo nepriėmė savo pakitusios išvaizdos. Richbourg ir kt., (2007) tyrime atskleista,
kad 53 proc. pacientų, kuriems suformuota stoma, jaučia depresiją dar ilgą laiką.
Tyrimo problema: Kokias psichologines ir fizines problemas patiria pacientai, kuriems
suformuota stoma, priešoperaciniu ir pooperaciniu laikotarpiais?
Tyrimo objektas: Pacientų, kuriems suformuota stoma, patiriamos problemos,
priešoperaciniu ir pooperaciniu laikotarpiais.
Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti pacientų, kuriems suformuota stoma, psichologines ir fizines
problemas priešoperaciniu ir pooperaciniu laikotarpiais. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Aprašyti stomos
klinikinę sampratą, suformavimo priežastis, kylančias problemas ir jų sprendimo būdus 2. Išskirti
pacientų patiriamas psichologines ir fizines problemas, slaugytojų ir pacientų požiūriu, prieš ir po
stomos operacijos. 3. Nustatyti pacientų, prieš ir po stomos suformavimo operaciją, patiriamų
psichologinių ir fizinių problemų sprendimo būdus, slaugytojų ir pacientų požiūriu.
Tyrimo metodai: Mokslinės literatūros analizė, kiekybinis tyrimas.
Tiriamieji: Kauno miesto X ligoninės pacientai, kuriems suformuota stoma ir jais
besirūpinantys slaugytojai.
Pagrindiniai empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Pastebėta, kad didžiajai daugumai pacientų
trūksta įvairios informacijos prieš operaciją ir po jos, - tai pastebi ir slaugytojai. Didžioji dalis
pacientų sutinka jautę baimę prieš operaciją, - tai pastebi ir visi tyrime dalyvavę slaugytojai. Beveik
pusė pacientų sutinka po operacijos jaučiantys baimę, kad nemokės susitvarkyti su stoma, - tam
pritaria beveik visi slaugytojai. Daugiau nei pusė pacientų sutinka, kad prieš operaciją jautė žarnyno
skausmus, - tam pritaria beveik visi slaugytojai. Dauguma pacientų sutinka, kad po operacijos turi
problemų su skystomis arba kietomis išmatomis, - tam pritaria panaši dalis slaugytojų. Beveik visi
pacientai konsultuojasi su gydytojais ir slaugytojais, - tai pastebi ir slaugytojai.

stoma in the preoperative and postoperative periods. Objectives of the study: 1. To describe the
clinical concept of the stoma, the reasons for its formation, the problems that arise and the ways to
solve them. 2. To single out patients experiencing psychological and physical problems from the
point of view of nurses and patients before and after stoma surgery. 3. To identify solutions to
psychological and physical problems experienced by patients before and after stoma formation,
from the point of view of nurses and patients.
Research methods: Analysis of scientific literature, quantitative research.
Subjects: Kaunas City X Hospital patients with a stoma and nurse you caring patiens.
The main results of the empirical research: It has been observed that the vast majority
of patients lack a variety of information before and after surgery, and nurses also notice this. The
majority of patients agree that they felt fear before the operation, and this is noticed by all the
nurses in the study. Nearly half of patients agree that after surgery, they fear that they will not be
able to cope with a stoma, and almost all nurses agree. More than half of the patients agree that they
experienced intestinal pain before the operation, and almost all nurses agree. Most patients agree
that they have problems with liquid or hard stools after surgery, a similar proportion of nurses
agree. Almost all patients consult with doctors and nurses, and nurses also notice this.
