Santrauka:
Description:
Skin pigmentation is a condition caused by pathological factors that significantly impacts
people’s well-being and their social relationships. Impaired melanogenesis can lead to various types
of pigmentation defects, which are classified as hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
Hyperpigmentation is a skin condition caused by increased melanin synthesis in the skin and can be
observed as darker patch areas on the skin. This problem is relevant in all age groups. There are
various ways to control it and one of them is the external use of cosmetics containing vitamin C.
The goal of the study: was to determine the opinion of the population about the effectiveness
of the cosmetics containing vitamin C to treat the hyperpigmented skin condition.
Research objectives:
1. To define the cause and the forms of skin hiperpigmentation.
2. Explain in theory on the vitamin C effectiveness on adressing the condition of
hyperpigmentation.
3. To determine the opinion of the population about the effectivenes of treatment of
hyperpigmented skin unsing vitamin C containing cosmetic products.
Research methods used: analysis of scientific and professional literature, questionnaire
survey, descriptive data analysis. 152 respondents were surveyed, 69 of whom have been using
products with vitamin C.
Results and conclusions of the study: The survey data show that hyperpigmentation
problems are common between all age groups of the population, but the effect of vitamin C and the
possibilities of its use to solve hyperpigmentation problems are not well known to all respondents.
The majority of respondents who used cosmetic products with vitamin C stated that these products
are safe enough, have an effect on the skin's brightness and smoothness, pigment spots, however,
have only reduced in color and did not dissapear completely. This opinion may have been influenced
by the irregular use of vitamin C products and insufficient protection of the skin from indirect UV
rays.
