Kiekvienais metais Lietuvoje daugėja šeimų, kurios patenka į socialinės rizikos šeimų apskaitą. Socialinės rizikos šeimoje auga vaikai, iki 18 metų, kuriems tėvų elgesys daro neigiamą įtaką. Vaiko sutrikimus galima pastebėti jo elgesyje, veikloje, stebint kaip jis bendrauja su vaikais mokykloje, kadangi vaikai, kurie turi sutrikimų, dažniausiai nesutaria su kitais mokiniais, mokytojais, klasės auklėtojais. Tokioms šeimoms reikalinga socialinio darbuotojo ir kitų specialistų pagalba. Vaikų dienos centro tikslas – teikti socialines ir ugdymo paslaugas vaikams iš socialinės rizikos ar nepasiturinčių šeimų bei jų šeimos nariams. Esant poreikiui ir galimybei, centro paslaugos gali būti teikiamos ir kitiems vaikams bei jų šeimos nariams. Vaikų dienos centre dirba socialiniai darbuotojai, kurie teikdami socialines paslaugas klientams patiria įvairiausias problemas.

Relevance of the topic: each year a growing number family in Lithuania gets into social risk families accountancy. Children’s in social risk families are growing up until they reach the age of 18 who are negatively affecting by parental behavior. Child disorders can be notice in his behavior, activities, monitoring how he communicates with children at school, as children who have a disorder often disagree with other classmates, teachers, class teachers. Such families need help from a social worker and other professionals. The goal of the Children's Day Center is to provide social and educational services for children at risk from social risk or for deprived families and their family members. Upon request and availability, the center's services may be providing to other children and their family members. At the children's day center works social workers who face a variety of problems when they provide social services.
Purpose of the research: to determine the problems encountered by a social worker during the provision of social services at children's day centre.
Research tasks: 1. To describe the activities of the childrens in day centre. 2. Define the activities of a social worker in the children's day center. 3. Identify the problems encountered by social workers in providing social services in the children's day centers.
Object of the research: Problems encountered by social workers in providing social services in day centers for children.
Research methods: scientific literature analysis, questionnaire survey and statistical data analysis.
Findings of the research: The study found that the vast majority of social workers are experiencing certain problems in providing social services to clients of the children's day center. According to the research, social workers are often faced with the following problems when providing social services: the client is reluctant to communicate, there is a lack of motivation from the client side, excessive workload, and other institutions are reluctant to cooperate.
