Temos aktualumas. Šlapimo nelaikymas – sveikatos problema, varginanti įvairaus amžiaus
žmones. Literatūros duomenimis, šlapimo nelaiko 25–45 proc. moterų ir 11–34 proc. vyrų.
Šlapimo nelaikymas turi įtakos jų gyvenimo kokybės aspektams. Lietuvoje nėra šlapimo
nelaikančių žmonių registro, o keletas epidemiologinių tyrimų, atliktų mūsų šalyje tyrė situaciją
tik atskiruose Lietuvos regionuose.
Tyrimo problema: kokia slaugytojų veikla, slaugant pacientus, kuriems nustatytas šlapimo
nelaikymas?
Tyrimo objektas: slaugytojų veikla, slaugant pacientus, kuriems nustatytas šlapimo nelaikymas.
Tyrimo tikslas: nustatyti slaugytojų veiklą, slaugant pacientus, kuriems nustatytas šlapimo
nelaikymas.
Darbo uždaviniai:
1. Apibrėžti šlapimo nelaikymo sampratą ir diagnostikos būdus.
2. Nustatyti šlapimo nelaikymu sergančių pacientų slaugos ypatumus.
3. Nustatyti slaugytojų informacijos šaltinius apie šlapimo nelaikymą.
Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: anonimine anketine apklausa apklausti 44 slaugytojai, dirbantys
terapiniame skyriuje X sveikatos priežiūros įstaigoje. Atliktas momentinis tyrimas, kurio
rezultatai buvo analizuojami ir pateikiami tik apibendrinta forma.
Pagrindiniai empirinio tyrimo rezultatai. 68,2 proc. respondentų teigia, jog jų darbe, vertinant
šlapimo nelaikymo problemą yra naudojami standartizuoti klausimynai. 90,9 proc. slaugytojų
teigia, jog jų vaidmuo yra svarbus, sprendžiant šlapimo nelaikymo problemą, o šlapimo
nelaikymas turi būti gydomas kompleksiškai. Šlapinimosi dienoraščio vedimas, reguliarus
šlapinimasis, efektyvios higienos užtikrinimas padeda pacientams, turintiems šlapimo nelaikymo
problemą, išvengti problemos sunkėjimo bei tokiu būdu šlapimo nelaikymo problema yra
valdoma. 38,6 proc. slaugytojų teigia, jog pacientai patys turi domėtis šlapimo nelaikymo
problema ir jos sprendimo būdais. Pagrindiniai slaugytojų informacijos šaltiniai apie šlapimo
nelaikymą yra reguliariai organizuojamos paskaitos, seminarai bei mokymai darbovietėje ar
įvairių konferencijų metu, bei mokslinių tyrimų duomenys.

Relevance of work. Urinary incontinence is a health problem that affects health of people of all
ages. According to the literature analysis, 25-45 % women and 11-34 % men have urinary
incontinence. Urinary incontinence affects people’s quality of life. There is no registry of urinary
incontinence of people in Lithuania. There are several epidemiological studies conducted in
Lithuania that investigate the situation of urinary incontinence only in certain regions of
Lithuania.
Work problem. What is the activity of nurses in care of patients with urinary incontinence?
The object of work. Nurses’ activity in care of patients with urinary incontinence.
The aim of work. To determine the activity of nurses in care of patients with urinary
incontinence.
Tasks:
1. To define the concept and diagnostic methods of urinary incontinence.
2. To determine the peculiarities of care of patients with urinary incontinence.
3. To identify nurses sources of information about urinary incontinence.
Work methods and subjects. Cross-sectional study was performed. Anonymous questionnaire
with 44 nurses were conducted. All nurses work in therapeutic unit at x health care facility. All
analyzed results were presented only in summary form.
Results. 68.2 % respondents report that standardized questionnaires to assess urinary
incontinence are used in their work. 90.9 % nurses say that the role of nurse is important in
addressing urinary incontinence and urinary incontinence should be treated in a comprehensive
manner. Keeping a urine diary, regular urination, and ensuring effective hygiene helps patients
with urinary incontinence to avoid aggravating the problem and thus managing the incontinence
problem. 38.6 % nurses say that patients themselves have an interest in the problem. Patients
themselves have an interest of how to deal with the urinary incontinence problem. The main
sources of information for nurses’ on urinary incontinence are regular lectures, seminars and
workshops or conferences, and other researchers’ research data.
