Darbo tikslas: Išanalizuoti slaugytojų, dirbančių intensyvios terapijos skyriuje ir
greitosios medicinos pagalbos stotyje patiriamą stresą ir valdymo galimybes. Darbo uždaviniai: 1.
Apibrėžti stresą sąlygojančius veiksnius bei pasekmes. 2. Išsiaiškinti streso valdymo galimybes. 3.
Palyginti intensyvios terapijos skyriuje ir greitosios medicinos pagalbos stotyje dirbančių slaugytojų
patiriamo streso priežastis ir pasekmes. 4. Palyginti intensyvios terapijos skyriuje ir greitosios
medicinos pagalbos stotyje dirbančių slaugytojų streso valdymo galimybes. Tyrimo kontingentas:
Tyrime dalyvavo X miesto greitosios medicinos pagalbos stotyje dirbantys skubiosios medicinos
pagalbos specialistai (N=15) bei X ligoninės intensyviosios terapijos skyriaus slaugytojai (N=15).
Tyrimui atlikti pasirinktas kokybinis tyrimas – pusiau struktūrizuotas interviu. Tyrimo metu
siekiama nustatyti ir palyginti intensyvios terapijos skyriuje bei greitosios medicinos pagalbos
stotyje dirbančių slaugytojų patiriamo streso priežastis ir pasekmes. Taip pat nustatyti ir palyginti
intensyvios terapijos skyriuje ir greitosios medicinos pagalbos stotyje dirbančių slaugytojų streso
valdymo galimybes. Tyrimo rezultatai ir išvados: Atlikus literatūros analizę išsiaiškinome
dažniausiai stresą sukeliantys veiksniai slaugytojų darbe yra santykiai su vadovais, kolegomis,
didelis darbo krūvis, kenksminga darbo aplinka, santykiai su pacientais ir jų artimaisiais,
kvalifikaciniai reikalavimai, pastangų neįvertinimas. Patirtą stresą slaugytojos dažniausiai pajunta
atsiradus fiziologiniams, emociniams, elgesio bei pažintiniams/kognityviniams organizmo
pokyčiams. Efektyviausi slaugytojų streso valdymo būdai yra darbo krūvio paskirstymas, darbuotojų
ir vadovų bendradarbiavimas siekiant spręsti iškilusias problemas, socialinė – psichologinė parama
iš draugų, šeimos narių, kolegų, atsipalaidavimas po sunkios darbo dienos, darbo bei poilsio režimo
užtikrinimas, dalyvavimas mokymuose, seminaruose. Atlikto tyrimo metu nustatėme, jog
intensyvios terapijos skyriuje dirbantiems slaugytojams didžiausią stresą sukelia dideli darbo
krūviai, paciento būklės pablogėjimas, žinių trūkumas, netinkamos darbo sąlygos ir aplinka,
pacientų mirtys bei santykiai su kolegomis, pacientais ir jų artimaisiais, o greitosios medicinos
pagalbos stoties slaugytojams kritines pacientų būklės, organizacinės struktūros klaidos, nepalankios
darbo sąlygos bei pacientų mirtys. Abiejų gydymo įstaigų darbuotojų tarpe efektyviausi streso
valdymo būdai yra miegas bei laikas praleistas su šeima, aktyvus laisvalaikis.

Objective: To analyze the stress and its management capabilities of nurses working in the
Intensive Care Unit and in the Medical Emergency Service. Goals of the research: 1. Define
factors and consequences of stress. 2. Ascertain the options of stress management. 3. Compare the
causes and outcomes of stress experienced by nurses in the Intensive Care Unit and in the Medical
Emergency Service. 4. Identify and compare stress management options for nurses in the Intensive
Care Unit and in the Medical Emergency Service. Contingent of the survey: The inquiry involved
the Medical Emergency Service nurses working in the Ambulance Station of city X (15 in total), as
well as the nurses in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital X (15 in total). Qualitative research
was selected for the study - semi-structured interview and observation. The study aims to identify
and compare the causes of stress experienced by nurses in the Intensive Care Unit and in the
Medical Emergency Service. Another object is to identify and compare stress management options
for nurses in the Intensive Care Unit and Medical Emergency Service. Results and conclusions:
Literature analysis shows that the most common factors that cause stress for nurses are relationships
with managers, colleagues and patients, heavy workload, harmful work environment, qualification
requirements, underestimation of effort. Usually, nurses start to feel physiological, emotional,
behaviour or cognitive type of changes in the body, which indicates the experience of stress. The
most effective ways of coping with stress for nurses are load distribution, good relationship between
employees and managers in order to solve problems, emotional and physiological support from
close friends, relatives, colleagues, trying to relax after a day of hard work, assurance of a proper
work and rest regime, participation in various types of training or seminars. As study shows, for
nurses in the Intensive Care Unit, it is heavy workload, worsening condition of the patient, lack of
knowledge, inappropriate working conditions and environment, death of a patient, relationship with
colleagues or patients what causes most stress. Most common causes of stress for nurses in the
Medical Emergency Service were such like critical condition of a patient, structure errors of
organization, inappropriate working conditions and death of a patient. Both sides of interviewees
agree that good sleep quality, time spent with their families and active leisure helps to cope with
stress most effectively.
