Description:
Pain is one of the most common complaints of pharmacies and an important public health problem. Worldwide, the consumption of NSAIDs occupies a major part of the pharmaceutical market and is increasing every year. Growing demand is driven by light purchasing, drug efficiency and affordable prices. Although the use, safety and interaction of other NSAIDs in Lithuania in the past was investigated in Lithuania, no studies have been conducted to assess the public's knowledge of NSAIDs and their behavior in use. The aim of the study was to reveal the attitude of pharmaceutical professionals towards the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Tasks of the study: 1. To explain the classification of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), mechanism of action, administration, undesirable effects, self-medication. 2. To substantiate, in theory, pharmaceutical services provided by pharmacists by acquiring NSAIDs at a public pharmacy. 3. Determine the attitude of pharmacists towards the use of NSAIDs for patients in a public pharmacy. Methods: research literature analysis, questionnaire survey method, 50 pharmaceutical specialists were surveyed, the results were calculated using statistical research methods. Research results: The study summarizes the gender, age, length of service, place of residence, occupation, information that pharmacies in most patients are not adequately informed about the use of NSAIDs, drug information available to patients about NSAID use, causes of inappropriate use of NSAIDs, timing of pharmacists The use of NSAIDs in pharmacies in patients with NSAIDs in pharmacies, inadequate NSAID use and outcomes, drug patient complaints about unwanted NSAIDs, NSAID undesirable effects, complaints about which patients generally ask NSAIDs, pharmacy patients to use the most commonly used active ingredient for inflammatory processes, cases where drug clients ask for prescriptive NSAIDs, factors influencing the choice of NSAIDs for pharmacies, the opinion of pharmaceutical professionals about NSAID demand, the frequency of drug use of NSAIDs by pharmacies The most commonly used NSAIDs in the treatment population are age groups.Concusion: 1. NSAIDs are classified according to the activity of the cyclooxygenase enzyme to which the undesirable effect of the drug belongs. The cytoxic enzyme is inhibited by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The inhibition of this enzyme by non-steroidal drugs inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, the latter being responsible for pain, fever and inflammation.Non-selective cyclooxygenase-non-steroidal drugs should avoid patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer and hyperacidity, and patients with cardiovascular problems should avoid selective cox-2 inhibitors. In addition, the increasing use of NSAIDs, especially diclofenac and inappropriate self-esteem, prevent human health. It is advisable to use fast and strong NSAIDs for acute pain relief, and NSAIDs with modified release and potent effects are most suitable for chronic pain. 2. Before taking NSAIDs, the pharmacist must follow the principles of
pain diagnosis and treatment: to analyze the nature of the patient's pain in the treatment, the location of the patient, to select the appropriate NSAIDs, and to indicate the use of the drug. 3.According to most pharmacists, most NSAIDs use unsafe NSAIDs: Concomitant use of several drugs in this group, the choice of inappropriate intervals between drug use, the use of inappropriate doses, and the absence of contraindications. Such an irrational use from the point of view of the pharmacists is usually manifested by abdominal pain or increased blood pressure.According to the study, patients are rarely complaining of adverse effects, with the majority of pharmacists claiming that the highest incidence of NSAIDs is among drug users of 51 years of age and older. The choice of the drug is most influenced by the price. The most common NSAIDs are ibuprofen, diclofenac and nimesulide. Major complaints about NSAIDs include back pain, headache, joint pain and teeth.
