Description:
Rūta Andriušytė (study program of dental technology) completed the bachelor‘s degree thesis on "Comparative Analysis of Hybrid Prosthesis Framework Manufacturing Methods". Academic supervisor- Audrius Kavaliauskas; University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Oral Health department. Kaunas, 2019 The final bachelor's thesis is oriented to compare hybrid All-On-4® prothesis framework production methods based on the primary method and also a relatively new but already popular methodology almost all computer modeling and formation work using the CAD / CAM system. Emphasis is placed on the advantages of the latter modelling technique, as well as the emphasis on certain moments in manual modeling. The work stages are described and analyzed in details, indicating the materials used, methods and their importance for accuracy. As a result of these studies, there have been two types of All-On-4® prostheses produced, of which primary appearance does not differ radically (the same teeth set is used for this work, the dental layout is not changed), but the adjustment of the supports to the frame, its accuracy, the application of the prosthesis on the model and the patient‘s mouth are significantly different. All-On-4® frames are produced using both scientific and professional literature. The results are delivered by discussing the key benefits in relation of time and materials used. Although the need for denture quality over the years not only remains unchanged, there is also a growing desire to get the best accuracy possible. Due to state-of-the-art technology, advanced computer modeling and milling systems there is a possibility to combine production phases, taking into account the consumption of materials, the cost of prosthesis and the extent to which such a versatile working methodology will work. Including the right methods into our work with a dentist we are able to reach the highest quality of the prothesis of today's requirements.
