Darbo struktūra – darbą sudaro įvadas ir trys dalys. Teorinėje dalyje analizuojama vietos savivaldos institucijų veiklos organizavimo teoriniai aspektai mokslinėje literatūroje, vietos savivaldos institucijų veiklos ypatumai, vietos savivaldos principai, vietos savivaldos veiklos organizavimo gerinimo galimybės. Analitinėje dalyje pateikiamas atliktas empirinis tyrimas. Projektinėje dalyje pateikiamas veiklos organizavimo gerinimo planas su priemonėmis galinčiomis patobulinti savivaldybės administracijos veiklą. Toliau pateikiami literatūros sąrašas bei priedai.

The structure of this work: the research consists of introduction and three parts. In the theoretical part of work scientific literature was analysed in terms of the theoretical aspects of organization of local self-government institutions.In addition, the main features of the activities of local self-government institutions, principles of the local self-government, possibilities for improvement of local self-government organization were overviewed. The analytical part provides the empirical research. This part presents a plan for improving the organization of activities with measures that can improve the activities of the municipal administration. Finally, a list of references and annexes are provided.
Results of the thesis. The main findings of the survey showed that employees who took part in the surveys are not aware of the principles of local self-government, interviewees feel underestimated, therefore their labor productivity may be reduced, a lack of motivation and computer knowledge can be noticed occasionally.
