Santrauka:
Baigiamąjį bakalaurinį darbą sudaro trys dalys. Pirmoji - teorinė dalis skirta literatūros analizei, antroji - empirinio tyrimo darbo metodui ir organizavimui, trečioji - tyrimo rezultatams ir viso darbo apibendrinimui. Darbo tikslas: įvertinti studentų, gyvenančių su tėvais arba globėjais ir studentų, gyvenančių savarankiškai bendrabutyje arba nuomojamame bute, mitybos įpročius. Darbo uždaviniai: 1. Paaiškinti gerų mitybos įpročių svarbą organizmui. 2. Atskleisti studentų mitybos įpročių tendencijas, priklausomai nuo jų gyvenamosios aplinkos. 3. Nustatyti studentų maisto produktų pasirinkimo prioritetus. Rezultatai ir išvados: 1. Sveika mityba suteikia galimybę saugoti ir stiprinti sveikatą. Žmonės, kurie sveikai maitinasi būdami jauni (studijų laikotarpiu), turi didesnę tikimybę išlaikyti sveikus mitybos įpročius ateityje ir tokiu būdu sumažinti riziką susirgti ligomis: vėžiu, II tipo CD, ŠKL, osteoporoze, anemija, nutukimu, dantų ligomis, mažėja įgimti defektai ir lūžių rizika. 2. Labiausiai sveiką mitybą propaguoja ir sveikos mitybos įpročių laikosi studentai, gyvenantys su tėvais: supranta sveikos mitybos įtaką sveikatai, maitinasi reguliariai, valgo pusryčius, nepersivalgo, valgo namuose gamintą maistą. Daugelio savarankiškai butuose ir bendrabučiuose gyvenančių studentų mityba yra neracionali ir nesubalansuota, jie mažai domisi arba visai nesidomi sveika mityba, pradėjus studijuoti priaugo svorio ir yra nepatenkinti juo, dažnai persivalgo, retai valgo maistą ruoštą namuose, nes dažniau vartoja greitą maistą. 3. Didžioji dalis studentų, gyvenančių su tėvais, pakankamai valgo vaisių, daržovių, grūdinių produktų, pieno, mėsos ir žuvies produktų, tačiau taip pat vartoja konditerijos gaminius, kartais geria saldžius gazuotus gėrimus ir trečdalis iš atsakiusiųjų pakankamai dažnai vartoja alkoholį. Studentai, gyvenantys savarankiškai, nepakankamai vartoja vaisių, daržovių pieno produktų, grūdinių produktų per dieną. Jų savaitės mitybos racione nemažą dalį sudaro konditerijos gaminiai, mėsos produktai, saldūs gazuoti gėrimai, didelė dalis atsakiusiųjų dažnai vartoja alkoholį.

Recently, there have been increasing numbers of people with health disorders. This shows their inappropriate lifestyle trends. One of the elements reducing the risk of disease and basic health determinants is a healthy diet. It is important at every stage of human life, but particularly important for young people to eat properly because healthy lifestyle habits are built and established during this period of life.
The period of studies is a social part of life that involves many new challenges, impressions, formation of new habits, and lifestyle changes. Due to the lack of time, students often fail to eat in time, do not follow the diet regime, their diet becomes inadequate, and the experience the lack of vital nutrients in the body. Inappropriate lifestyle habits developed during the years of studies can have negative consequences for the future and therefore a balanced and full-fledged diet is essential.
Purpose of work: to evaluate the dietary habits of students living with their parents or guardians and students living in a dormitory or rented apartment.
Tasks of work:
1. Explain the importance of good eating habits for the body.
2. To reveal trends in student nutrition habits depending on their living environment.
3. Identify student preferences of food choices.
Methodology of research – a quantitative study was conducted. Questionnaire survey was posted on Facebook. The aim of the research was to find out the differences between the diets of Kaunas College students living with their parents and independently. The research involved 112 respondents. 30 students living with their parents and 82 students living independently. The research data was processed using Microsoft Excel.
Results of research – students living with their parents most of all promote healthy diets and abide to healthy eating habits. The diet of many students living independently in apartments and dormitories is irrational and unbalanced, and they are not interested in a healthy diet.
Conclusions of the research:
1. A healthy diet provides the opportunity to protect and strengthen health. People who eat healthy while young (during the period of studies) are more likely to maintain healthy eating habits in the future and thus reduce the risk of disease such as cancer, type II diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, osteoporosis, anaemia, obesity, dental diseases, they have higher likelihood of birth defects and risk of fractures.
2. Students living with their parents most of all promote healthy diets and abide to healthy eating habits: they understand the influence of healthy eating on health, they eat regularly, they have breakfast, do not eat too much, and eat home-made food. The diet of many students living independently in apartments and dormitories is irrational and unbalanced, they are little interested in or are not interested in a healthy diet, gain weight when they start studying and are often unhappy with it, often eat too much, rarely eat food made at home because they consume fast food more often.
3. The majority of students living with their parents eat sufficient fruit, vegetables, cereals, diary, meat and fish products, but also consume confectionery, sometimes sweet carbonated drinks, and one third of respondents drink alcohol rather often. Students living on independently have insufficient fruit, vegetable, dairy products and cereals daily in their diet. A large portion of their weekly diets include confectionery, meat products, sweet carbonated drinks, and many respondents often have alcohol.
