Lietuvoje mažai analizuota socialinio darbuotojo veikla, kai specialistas turi teikti socialines paslaugas paliatyviems klientams namuose. Yra aiškus reglamentavimas, kokią veiklą socialinis darbuotojas vykdo teikdamas socialines paslaugas paliatyviems klientams institucijose – ligoninėse, dienos centruose, slaugos ligoninėse, tačiau vis dar mažai kalbėta apie socialinio darbuotojo veiklą kliento namuose. Kyla klausimas apie socialinio darbuotojo socialinio darbo principus teikiant socialines paslaugas paliatyviems klientams namuose. Taip pat skaičius klientų, kuriems reikalinga socialinio darbuotojo paslaugos. Bei kokiomis profesinėmis žiniomis socialinis darbuotojas remiasi teikdamas socialines paslaugas paliatyviems klientams namuose.
