Description:
Main aim is to choose and configurate program correctly which would ensure safe and productive work of the server. The Bachelor paper consists of three parts. First part is analytical. This part describes the equivalent cost in the systems operation, describes how to install additional applications, configurator systems and systems required for full functionality. One of the Unix operating system distributions was selected, compared with other similar operating systems which are capable to support the storage of events and display systems. The second part of this Bachelor depends on project work. The project part describes how to properly choose the system, system installation and configuration. The system is checked for its performance, security settings, performance speed and reliability, describes how to access the system. The third part is economic. The economic cost is calculated in order to find out the cost of the system to the Kaunas College server. Conclusions of the work carried out are presented at the end of a Bachelor's degree. Conclusions consists of what has been succeeded and accomplished. References together with appendix are also added.
