Logistics management is one of the most important parts of the business chain. Thanks to it, the planned, controllable flow of goods and services storage, in order to satisfy the customer and the final product to meet all requirements. The volumes of freight are constantly growing, therefore transportation is becoming more complex, which determines the demand for logistics management. Improving transport by rail is one of the cheapest and most quantitative means of transportation. The main problem of the Improvement of production transportation by railways – manage to export the products to third countries and improve the transport of production. The aim of the Improvement of production transportation by railways - to get acquainted with aspects of cargo transportation routes. To formulate the activities, transportation, conclusions and suggestions of UAB “Joniškio grūdai”. Objectives of the Improvement of production transportation by railways: UAB "Joniškio grūdai" logistics activities. Methods of the Improvement of production transportation by railways: 1. Literature analysis 2. Questionnaire 3. Organization data analysis The structure – The theoretical part discusses the concepts of transportation, routing, logistics and legal acts. In the analytical part of the work, the results of research of UAB "Joniškio grūdai" are presented, statistical data are analysed. The project part identifies the possible ways of improving transportation of UAB "Joniškio grūdai". At the end of the work you will find the conclusions and suggestions. Based on the results of the survey and the analysis of the statistics and the company's internal data, we can say that the least cost is incurred by using rail transport, but not all customers have the opportunity and access to it. And when packaging products, a lot of money is spent on packaging materials, which is determined by the more expensive value of the product when the product is transported to the customer. There is a constant need to improve the workforce of logistics workers, to track traffic updates, to know the legislation, to be able to deliver products to the customer, using as little money as possible. The work consists of 56 pages, 20 tables, 15 pictures, 24 references and sources of information, 1 appendices.	en
