The importance of emotional intelligence (EQ) in the world has been discussed for more than 20 years, but this concept has become known and discussed in Lithuania quite recently (Vaišvydienė, Gedvilienė, 2017). Prolonged time at digital screens may negatively affect children’s contact with adults and peers in the future. Parents and child educators should keep in mind that children may become insensitive and no longer be able to control their emotions at an early age (Alwaely, Abdalla, Mikhaylov, 2020). Research problem – what are the opportunities for the development of emotional intelligence of preschool age children? Research object – the opportunities for the development of emotional intelligence of preschool age children. Apie emocinio intelekto (EQ) svarbą pasaulyje kalbama jau daugiau nei 20 metų, tačiau šis terminas Lietuvoje tapo žinomas ir aptariamas pakankamai neseniai (Vaišvydienė, Gedvilienė, 2017). Pailgėjęs laikas prie skaitmeninių ekranų ateityje gali neigiamai įtakoti vaikų ryšį su suaugusiais ir bendraamžiais. Tėvai ir vaiko ugdytojai turėtų nepamiršti, kad vaikai gali tapti nejautrūs ir nebegalėti kontroliuoti savo emocijų jau ankstyvame amžiuje (Alwaely, Abdalla, Mikhaylov, 2020). Tyrimo problema – kokios yra ikimokyklinio amžiaus vaikų emocinio intelekto ugdymo (-si) galimybės? Tyrimo objektas – ikimokyklinio amžiaus vaikų emocinio intelekto ugdymo (-si) galimybės.
