dc.description Relevance of the topic: stress is a constant guide of the social workers. The main reason of stress of social workers is uncertainty of activities that can rise not only from contraversion of knowlege and skills but also from the undefined procedures of work functions, the reorganization of work or insecurity of work place. The aim of research: identify the reason of experienced stress of social workers during the period of institutional reorganization of foster homes. The objectives of research: 1) to describe the changes of profesional activities of social workers who work in foster care sphere during the period of institutional reorganization; 2) to reviel the reasons of experienced stress in profesional activity of social work sphere; 3) to identify the reasons of stress social workers experience during the period of institutionl reorganization. Methods of research: the analysis of scientific literature sources, quantitative questionnaire survey and statistic research data analysis. The participants: the selection of participants was purposive – the participants were social workers that work in the institutions that were in the process of reorganization. There were 33 participants from 4 foster homes who agreed to participate in the research. Conclusions: The research revealed that the majority of respondents experience the bigger stress during the changes at work, one third of them significantly bigger stress. Evaluating the changes in the organization of work the third part of respondents connect the reasons of experienced stress with the shortage of information and training about purpose of reorganization and its procedures. The fifth part of respondents connect it with undefined work functions. By evaluating the chenges of work content the fifth part of the respondents relate the experienced stress with new work functions, with new, unexpected situations, with the increase of work and with the bigger responsibility in decision making. In the opinion of the fifth part of repondents the reason of stress is conected with work and employment terms change, uncertainty of work place, the lack of work breaks and disbalance with work and payment. The respondents assume that the change of work environment lead to communication change and become the reason of experienced stress. The fifth part of the respondents experience the feeling of loneliness, the increase of competition, the unwillingness of colleagues to co-oparate. Only one third of the respondents point that they have enough skills to overcome the stress at work and its consequences that often relate with changes in mental and physical health and motivation for work. Evaluating the methods that would help to reduce the stress at work the respondents mentioned the effective exchange of information with the social workers from other foster homes, involving the employees in planning of the changes, to organize the practical trainings about overcoming the stress and direct support and understanding of the director. en
