dc.description	The spotlight of the topic: in a health setting, professional identity serves a great importance. The concept of professional identity defines the boundaries and responsibilities of professional activity, helps to reduce confusion of work roles, especially when working in a multidisciplinary team. A lack of professional identity clarity has been found to have significant impact on the perceived value of the profession and the employee's confidence in his or her professional opinion. (Matthews, J., Bialocerkowski, A. & Molineux, M., 2019). The research problem: what is the professional identity and career expectations of radiology technologists? The object of the research - professional identity and career expectations of radiology technologists. The aim of the research - to reveal the professional identity and career expectations of radiology technologists. Objectives of the research: 1. Theoretically reveal the concept of professional career and professional identity. 2. To determine the expression of professional identity of radiology technologists taking into account work experience. 3. To reveal the motives and career expectations for choosing the profession of radiology technologists. Research methodology and subjects: in the theoretical part - analysis of Lithuanian and foreign scientific literature. In the empirical part, a quantitative research method was used - an anonymous online questionnaire. Quantitative analysis of research data was performed by using Microsoft Office „Excel“ 2016 program. 140 radiology technologists participated in the study on a voluntary basis. An anonymous online questionnaire was sent on 26-03-2021 to all radiology technologists who participated in the conference organized by the LRTA. During this research, a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed with the Lithuanian Association of Radiology Technologists. The research was presented at the student research conference „SCIENCE AND STUDY: 2021“ (April 15, 2021). Results of empirical research: the analysis of the results of the survey revealed that professional identity is most expressed among respondents with up to 10 years of work experience. The majority of respondents agreed that the main career expectations are that the profession of radiology technologist would provide a full life and ensure an appropriate status in society.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: Sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose profesinis identitetas turi itin didelę reikšmę. Profesinio identiteto samprata apibrėžia profesinės veiklos ribas ir atsakomybes, padeda sumažinti darbo vaidmenų sumaišymų, ypač dirbant multidisciplinėje komandoje. Nustatyta, kad profesinio identiteto aiškumo trūkumas daro didelę įtaką suvokiamai profesijos vertei ir darbuotojo pasitikėjimui savo profesine nuomone. (Matthews, J., Bialocerkowski, A. & Molineux, M., 2019). Tyrimo problema: koks radiologijos technologų profesinis identitetas ir karjeros lūkesčiai? Tyrimo objektas – radiologijos technologų profesinis identitetas ir karjeros lūkesčiai. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti radiologijos technologų profesinį identitetą ir karjeros lūkesčius. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Teoriškai atskleisti profesinės karjeros ir profesinio identiteto sampratą. 2. Nustatyti radiologijos technologų profesinio identiteto išreikštumą atsižvelgiant į darbo patirtį. 3. Atskleisti radiologijos technologų profesijos pasirinkimo motyvus ir karjeros lūkesčius. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: teorinėje dalyje - mokslinės Lietuvos ir užsienio literatūros analizė. Empirinėje dalyje buvo naudojamas kiekybinis tyrimo metodas - anoniminė internetinė anketinė apklausa. Kiekybinė tyrimo duomenų analizė buvo atlikta naudojant Microsoft Office „Excel“ 2016 programa. Tyrime savanoriškai dalyvavo 140 radiologijos technologų. Anoniminė internetinė anketa buvo išsiųsta 2021-03-26 d. visiems radiologijos technologams dalyvavusiems LRTA organizuotoje konferencijoje. Atliekant šį tyrimą buvo pasirašyta trišalė bendradarbiavimo sutartis su Lietuvos radiologijos technologų asociacija. Tyrimo rezultatai buvo pristatyti studentų tiramųjų darbų konferencijoje „MOKSLAS IR STUDIJOS: 2021“ (2021-04-15). Empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: išanalizavus tyrimo rezultatus paaiškėjo, kad profesinis identitetas yra labiausiai išreikštas iki 10 metų darbo patirtį turinčių respondentų tarpe. Dauguma respondentų sutiko, kad pagrindiniai profesijos lūkesčiai yra, kad radiologijos technologo profesija suteiktų pilnavertį gyvenimą bei užtikrintų atitinkamą statusą visuomenėje.	en_US
