The aim of the study: to evaluate the effect of the TRX training on the posture and the static strength of torso muscles. The following tasks were set for the purpose of the work: 1. to evaluate the posture before the workouts for people who attend the TRX training. 2. To evaluate the static strength of torso muscles before the workouts for people who attend the TRX training. 3. To evaluate the changes in the posture and the static strength of torso muscles after the training. The subjects and research methodology: The study involved fifteen (15) people, both men and women, between the age of thirty (30) and forty (40). The subjects were evaluated using the method of assessment by W. W. K. Hoeger. The evaluation of the subjects' torso muscle static force was done by using ITO, Lateral Bridge and Isometric Abdominal Muscle Endurance tests. The results of the muscle endurance tests were recorded on a stopwatch. The results: The results for the posture evaluation according to the W. W. K. Hoeger table: The average posture score of the subjects before the TRX training was 45 ± 4.1 points; after two (2) months of the TRX training – 45 ± 4 points. The results indicate that after the training the posture of the subjects has changed by 0 ± 0.1 points. The strength of the torso lateral muscle was evaluated by the Lateral Bridge test before and after the TRX training. The average endurance of the torso lateral muscle before the TRX training was 60 ± 30.6 seconds (sec.) on the right side and 65 ± 29, 01 sec. on the left side. The results after the training were: 67 ± 31.9 sec. on the right side and 69 ± 30.9 sec. on the left side. Correspondingly, the strength of the right side increased by 7 ± 1.3 sec. and of the left side – 4 ± 0.2 sec. The strength of the lumbar back muscle was assessed by the ITO test. The average score of the subjects' test before the TRX training was 197 ± 118.3 sec., after the TRX training – 208 ± 123.1 sec. The strength of the lumbar back muscle increased by 11 ± 4.8 sec. The strength of the abdominal muscle was evaluated by the McIntosh Isometric Abdominal Muscle Endurance test. The average score of the subjects before the TRX training was 155 ± 76.1 sec. and after the TRX training – 164 ± 87.1 sec. The strength of the abdominal muscle increased by 9 ± 11 sec. Conclusions: 1. The obtained results showed that the TRX training has none or only minimal effect on the posture. The posture of most subjects remained the same. 2. Based on the results obtained, it can be stated that the TRX training has a positive effect on the torso muscle static strength. The strength of the torso muscle has increased. 3. The results of the posture changed minimally or haven’t changed at all, but the static strength of the torso muscle has increased. The study showed that the TRX training has a positive effect on the torso muscle static strength, but has no clear effect on the posture. en

Aprašomi asmenų, lankančių TRX treniruotes, laikyseną prieš treniruotes vertinimai; asmenų, lankančių TRX treniruotes, liemens raumenų statinės jėgos prieš treniruotes vertinimai ir laikysenos ir liemens raumenų statinės jėgos pokyčių po treniruotės vertinimai. Tyrimo metodai: laikysena vertinama pagal W.W. K. Hoeger metodą. Respondentų liemens raumenų statinės jėgos vertinimas atliktas taikant ITO ir „šoninio tiltelio“ bei „izometrinį pilvo raumenų ištvermės“ testus. Raumenų ištvermės testų rezultatai buvo fiksuojami chronometru. en_US
