dc.description	Women have always wanted to be beautiful, tidy, always trying to take care of their skin. Aesthetics are important to everyone, but especially to women. In order to keep the skin aesthetic and tidy, certain measures are taken. Therefore, to achieve perfect skin integrity women at home or going to specialists are doing various procedures. Many women choose to remove unwanted body hair for cosmetic, social, cultural or medical reasons. Over the years, many hair removal methods have been developed, including temporary and long-term hair removal methods. Many of them can be used at home, but most methods can only be used in professional salons or dermatologists offices (Baki and Alexander, 2015). The problem of the research - what is women's knowledge about unwanted hair removal methods? The object of the research - women's knowledge about the methods of removing unwanted hair. The aim of the research - to reveal women's knowledge about unwanted hair removal methods. The tasks of the research: 1. To reveal the anatomical and physiological features of hair. 2. Describe the methods of removing unwanted hair, their advantages and disadvantages. 3. Identify women's knowledge of unwanted hair removal techniques. The methodology of the research. A comparative analysis of scientific literature sources was revealed to reveal the topic of the work. The quantitative research method - questionnaire - was chosen for the research. Subjects. The study surveyed 109 women aged 20 to 50 years and older. Respondents participated voluntarily. The results and conclusions. After analyzing the scientific and professional literature, the anatomical and physiological features of hair and undesirable methods of hair removal, their advantages and disadvantages are theoretically described. The study found that all respondents remove unwanted hair from various parts of the body. The vast majority of respondents remove hair with short-acting methods such as hair removal with a razor blade, mentioning that they are not satisfied with the removal method they use. Also, the majority of respondents in the questionnaire mentioned that it is difficult to find information on the most effective hair removal methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that many respondents do not choose other methods of unwanted hair removal for the main reason - they do not have the knowledge and cannot find appropriate and correct information that could guide them to choose the most suitable method of removal of unwanted hair.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Visais laikais moterys norėjo būti gražiomis, tvarkingomis, visada stengėsi prižiūrėti savo odą. Estetika yra svarbiausia kiekvienam, o ypač moterims. Tam, kad oda būtų estetiška, tvarkinga, yra imamasi tam tikrų priemonių. Todėl, yra atliekamos įvairios procedūros pas specialistą ar namuose, siekiant tobulos odos vientisumo. Daugelis moterų pasirenka pašalinti nepageidaujamus kūno plaukus dėl kosmetinių, socialinių, kultūrinių ar medicininių priežasčių. Per daugelį metų buvo sukurta daugybė plaukų šalinimo būdų, įskaitant laikinus ir ilgalaikius plaukų šalinimo metodus. Nemaža dalis jų gali būti naudojami namuose, tačiau dauguma metodų gali būti naudojami tik profesionaliuose salonuose ar dermatologų kabinetuose (Baki ir Alexander, 2015). Tyrimo problema – kokios moterų žinios apie nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdus? Tyrimo objektas – moterų žinios apie nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdus. Tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti moterų žinias apie nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdus. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Atskleisti plauko anatominius ir fiziologinius ypatumus. 2. Aprašyti nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdus, jų privalumus bei trūkumus. 3. Nustatyti moterų žinias apie nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdus. Tyrimo metodologija. Atlikta darbo temai atskleisti mokslinės literatūros šaltinių lyginamoji analizė. Tyrimui atlikti buvo pasirinktas kiekybinis tyrimo metodas – anketinė apklausa. Tiriamieji. Tyrime buvo apklaustos 109 moterys nuo 20-ties iki 50-ties metų ir daugiau. Respondentės dalyvavo laisvanoriškai. Tyrimo rezultatai ir išvados. Išnagrinėjus mokslinę ir profesinę literatūrą, teoriškai aprašyti plauko anatominiai ir fiziologiniai ypatumai bei nepageidaujami plaukų šalinimo būdai, jų privalumai ir trūkumai. Atlikto tyrimo metu buvo nustatyta, kad visos respondentės šalina nepageidaujamus plaukus nuo įvairių kūno vietų. Didžioji dauguma respondenčių šalina plaukus trumpalaikius efektus teikiančiais metodais, kaip plaukų šalinimas skutimosi peiliuku, paminėjusios, kad nėra patenkintos šalinimo būdu, kurį naudoja. Taip pat dauguma respondenčių anketoje minėjo, kad sunkiai randa informaciją apie efektyviausius plaukų šalinimo būdus. Todėl galima daryti išvada, kad daugelis respondenčių nesirenka kitų nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo metodų dėl pagrindinės priežasties – neturi žinių bei neranda tinkamos ir teisingos informacijos, kuri galėtų nukreipti rinktis joms tinkamiausią nepageidaujamų plaukų šalinimo būdą	en_US
