The main problem.The increasing amount of food waste and social exclusion encourage society to search for innovations to solve these problems. The aim.The aim of the work is to develop a project that promotes social responsibility in the food industry business sector. Methods: the analysis of theoretical and scientific literature, as well as media articles and interviews, systematization and summarization of information, indentification of food waste related reasons, priorities and consequences, estimation of the project costs. The structure. Lithuanian poverty risk indicators, the problem of food waste in the European Union, the concept of circular economy are discussed in the theoretical part. The activities of LPF Foodbank are discussed in the analitical part. Social responsibility project based on the principles of circular economy, stakeholder analysis, budget calculation, compliance of the project with horizontal areas and the importance and essence of the project are presented in the practical part. The results/conclusions. Theprepared project will help to promote the reduction of social exclusion among the society members and persons from social risk groups, as well as to reduce the waste of food, and save more than 52 tons of food.
