dc.description	The relevance of the paper: the topic of the paper is relevant to writers of various genres of literature, students and readers. The subject matter of the paper is phonetic devices, their purpose and usage. The problem question of the paper is what the most commonly used phonetic devices are found in headlines. The aim of the paper is to find out the most commonly used phonetic stylistic devices in headlines and their functions in headlines are. The objectives are: 1) theoretically define the concept and types of phonetic devices. 2) to reveal the features and functions of phonetic devices found in headlines of texts from the most popular online newspapers or news sites on the practical level. The methods used include: 1. the analysis of theoretical references. 2. the descriptive comparative linguistic analysis. The paper consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part discusses language and its features, stylistic and phonetic means. Having analysed the arguments found in the theoretical works of Bredin (1996) Galperin (2010), Skrebnev (2003) and Zhukovska (2010) the practical linguistic analysis was performed. The results of the linguistic study reveal that alliteration, assonance, rhyme and onomatopoeia are the most frequently used phonetic stylistic devices in headlines and they each have their purpose of usage: alliteration and assonance are commonly used to amplify and diversify headings and their structure, rhyme is used to emphasize and accentuate the title, to make it more memorable and onomatopoeia is used to make the title more attractive, playful, and shorter. All of these devices used in headlines attract more attention and interest to the article itself.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: tema aktuali įvairių žanrų tekstų rašytojams, moksleiviams bei skaitytojams. Darbo objektas yra fonetinės priemonės, jų paskirtis ir pritaikymas. Pagrindinė šio darbo problema – kokios fonetinės priemonės dažniausiai randamos antraštėse. Darbo tikslas - išsiaiškinti antraštėse dažniausiai naudojamus fonetinius stilistinius prietaisus ir jų funkcijas antraštėse. Darbo uždaviniai: 1) teoriškai apibrėžti fonetinių prietaisų sąvoką ir tipus. 2) atskleisti fonetinių prietaisų ypatybes ir funkcijas populiariausių internetinių laikraščių ar naujienų svetainių antraštėse. Darbo metodai: 1.teorinės medžiagos analizė; 2. lingvistinė analizė, pagrįsta aprašymu bei palyginimu. Darbas susideda iš dviejų pagrindinių dalių: teorinės ir praktinės. Teorinėje dalyje aptariama kalba ir jos ypatumai, stilistinės bei fonetinės priemonės. Apibendrinus Bredin (1996) Galperin (2010), Skrebnev (2003) ir Zhukovska (2010) teorinius teiginius, atlikta lingvistinė analizė. Remiantis lingvistinės analizės rezultatais, galima teigti, jog aliteracija, asonansas, rimas ir onomatopėja yra dažniausiai naudojamos fonetinės stilistinės priemonės antraštėse, taip pat jos visos turi savo paskirtį ir privalumus: aliteracija ir asonansas dažniausiai naudojami pastiprinti bei suteikti įvairovės antraštėms bei jų struktūrai, rimas vartojamas pabrėžti ir akcentuoti antraštę, padaryti ją įsimintinesne ir onomatopėja naudojama norint padaryti antraštę patrauklesne, žaismingesne bei trumpesne. Visos šios priemonės vartojamos antraštėse pritraukia daugiau skaitytojų dėmesio bei susidomėjimo pačiu straipsniu.	en_US
