dc.description	The paper is relevant to public speakers who want to a deliver a good emotional speech because it might help them to understand what emotional speech is and how to write a linguistically pleasing emotional speech; for students who are studying the English language, since it includes linguistic devices, such as metaphor, hyperbole, discourse markers, and pronouns, and how differently those devices express meaning. The subject matter of the paper is linguistic features identified in emotional speeches by Fredric Douglas, John F. Kennedy, and Pericles. The problem question of the paper is what linguistic features are used to create emotional speech. The aim of the paper is to identify what linguistic features are used to create emotional speech. The objectives are: 1) to theoretically highlight main linguistic features that impact emotional speeches 2) to reveal the features of the practical use in emotional speeches The methods used include: 1) Analysis of theoretical sources that helped to highlight main linguistic features of emotional speeches 2) Descriptive linguistic analysis that helped to reveal the main linguistic features of emotional speech The paper consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part gives a review of the functions of emotional speech and linguistic devices that are used to create an emotional speech. Having analyzed the arguments found in theoretical works, practical linguistic analysis was performed. The results of the linguistic study revealed that in all of the three speeches that were analyzed; the main goal of the speaker was to affect the listener’s emotions by applying metaphors, hyperboles, discourse markers, and personal pronouns in their speeches.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Profesinis baigiamasis darbas yra aktualus viešųjų kalbų pranešėjams norintiems pristatyti gerą emocinę kalbą ir gali padėti suvokti kokius lingvistinius ypatumus reikia panaudoti rašant emocinę kalbą; studentams studijuojantiems anglų kalbą, kadangi mokslinis darbas apima lingvistinių priemonių, tokių kaip metafora, hiperbolė, diskurso žymekliai ir įvardžiai panaudojimą tekste ir jų prasmę. Darbo objektas - lingvistinių ypatumų identifikavimas Fredric Douglas, John F. Kennedy ir Pericles emocinėse kalbose. Pagrindinė šio darbo problema – kokie lingvistiniai ypatumai yra naudojami sukurti emocinę kalbą. Darbo tikslas – nustatyti kokie lingvistiniai ypatumai yra panaudoti sukurti emocinę kalbą. Darbo uždaviniai: 1) teoriškai pabrėžti pagrindinius lingvistinius ypatumus darančius įtaką emocinėje kalboje 2) atskleisti atrastus ypatumus panaudotus emocinėje kalboje. Darbo metodai: 1) teorinių šaltinių analizavimas, kuris padėjo išryškinti pagrindinius lingvistinius ypatumus emocinėje kalboje. 2) aprašomoji lingvistinė analizė, padėjo atskleisti pagrindinius emocinės kalbos kalbinius bruožus. Darbas susideda iš dviejų pagrindinių dalių: teorinės ir praktinės dalies. Teorinėje dalyje aptariami teoriniai šaltiniai, kuriuose yra aprašytos emocinės kalbos funkcijas ir lingvistiniai įrankiai naudojami sukurti emocinę kalbą. Apibendrinus teorijos teiginius, atlikta lingvistinė emocinių kalbų analizė. Remiantis lingvistinės analizės rezultatais, galima teigti, kad visų trijų kalbų tikslas yra paveikti klausytojo emocijas, panaudojant metaforas, hiperbolę, diskurso žymeklius ir asmeninius įvardžius.	en_US
