dc.description In Lithuania, as in most countries of the world, the problem is encountered that patients are not well informed about prophylactic prostate testing, performed radiological studies for the detection of cancer. In view of this, the prevalence of prostate cancer is increasing. In Lithuania, over 2000 new cases of prostate cancer are detected every year. It is noteworthy that the number of patients with prostate cancer every year in Lithuania is constantly growing. The incidence of prostate cancer in Lithuania is about 6%. and is ranked second after lung cancer. Prostate cancer affects men over the age of 45, and up until this age prostate cancer is rare. For men over 50-75 years of age, prostate cancer is becoming more common, but men‘s mortality from pre-cancerous cancers is only third in lung and stomach-intestinal cancers. Most commonly, prostate cancer is found in adenocarcinoma (68%) and anaplastic carcinoma (30%). The aim of the study was to investigate the role of radiologist in the process of determining and treating prostate cancer. During the study, 54 outpatient clinics were questioned Summarizing the results of the study, it was found that the majority of respondents who participated in the survey were interested in prostate prophylaxis, and patients with prostate cancer participated in prostate cancer treatment and control programs. The majority of respondents are interested in prostate cancer, their prophylaxis and are aware of the risk factors and prospects for the risk of developing prostate cancer. However, the study found that only one third of the respondents were aware of the possibility of attending a radiology technologist and performed not only the diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of the cancer. To summarize the results of the study, to improve the processes of the radiologist's technology and to increase its role in the treatment of patients with prostate cancer in the treatment of patients, and in the future, to provide city clinics with information on the prevention and prospects of prostatic prostatic prophylaxis in men attending a clinics to prevent prostate cancer. en
