dc.description	Relevance of the topic: Fear of dental treatment is a relevant problem with a high prevalence in various populations around the world. Led by this fear, both parents and children miss or delay visits to the dentist. By neglecting oral health, patients cause oral health problems which lead to even greater fear of dental treatment. Research problem: What is the parents' attitude towards children's fear(s) of dental treatment? Research object: Parent's attitude towards children's fear(s) of dental treatment. Research objective: Reveal parents' attitude towards children's fear(s) of dental treatment. Research goals: 1. Explain the theoretical concept of fear of dental treatment and describe its prevalence; 2. Reveal/examine the influence of socio-economic factors on children's fear of dental treatment and the links between parents and children's fears of dental treatment; 3. Reveal/examine parents' attitude towards children's fears of dental treatment based on parents' education, socio-economic status and relationship with the child. Research methodology and participants: In order to explain the theoretical concept of fear of dental treatment, it's prevalence, examine the impact of socio-economic factors on children's fear of dental treatment and reveal the link(s) between parents and children's fear of dental treatment, analysis of scientific literature was performed. To reveal parents' attitude towards children's fear of dental treatment, a quantitative study was performed and data collection method of a written survey was used.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: Odontologinio gydymo baimė yra aktuali problema, turinti didelį paplitimą įvairiose populiacijose visame pasaulyje. Šios baimės vedami tiek tėvai, tiek vaikai praleidžia ar atidėlioja vizitus pas gydytoją odontologą. Apleisdami burnos sveikatą pacientai sukelia burnos ertmės sveikatos problemas, kurios sąlygoja dar didesnį odontologinio gydymo baimės lygį. Tyrimo problema: Koks tėvų požiūris į odontologinio gydymo vaikų baimes? Tyrimo objektas: Tėvų požiūris į odontologinio gydymo vaikų baimes. Tyrimo tikslas: Atskleisti tėvų požiūrį į vaikų odontologinio gydymo baimes. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Teoriškai paaiškinti odontologinio gydymo baimės savoką ir aprašyti odontologinio gydymo baimės paplitimą; 2. Atskleisti socialinių-ekonominių veiksnių įtaką vaikų dantų gydymo baimei ir sąsajas tarp tėvų ir vaikų odontologinio gydymo baimių; 3. Atskleisti tėvų požiūrį į vaikų odontologinio gydymo baimes remiantis tėvų išsilavinimu, socialiniu - ekonominiu statusu ir santykiais su vaiku. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: Atlikta mokslinės literatūros analizė, kurios tikslas- teoriškai paaiškinti odontologinio gydymo baimės sąvoką, atskleisti dantų gydymo baimės paplitimą ir socialinių-ekonominių veiksnių įtaką vaikų dantų gydymo baimei bei atskleisti sąsajas tarp tėvų ir vaikų odontologinio gydymo baimių. Atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas, duomenų rinkimo metodas – apklausa raštu, kurio tikslas atskleisti tėvų požiūrį į odontologio gydymo vaikų baimes.	en_US
