| dc.description | Relevance of the topic: Homelessness is a form of social exclusion of people who become homeless and drift beyond the line of ordinary society. Homelessness mostly is not optional, it is determined by many factors like poverty, lack of basic needs supplies, flawed lifestyle, addictions, lack of any house as a property or a place to stay. People experiecing homelessness almost without exeptions have many problems which they‘re not capable solving on their own, therefore a profesional help of social worker is needed. Suitable help of social worker provided to people living in temporary accomodation housing is the basis of such worker‘s continuous activity. According to the data of Lithuanian Departament of Statistics in year 2018 in Lithuania there were 25 functioning homeless shelters within which during this period lived 3007 people in total. Compared to the data of year 2017 this number increased by 20,6%. In year 2018 at homeless shelters lived 2359 men and 648 women. When analyzing 2017 and 2018 year data we see that the number of men, who stayed at these shelters increased by 16,1% and women by 40,3% respectively. We can observe the dramatic increase in numbers of people staying at homeless shelters. Therefore we must conclude that growing numbers of people without a constant living property dictate the need of social workers helping this vulnerable social group of people. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Temos aktualumas: Benamystė – tai atskirties forma, kai žmonės tapę benamiais atsiduria už pilietinės visuomenės ribų. Benamystė nėra pasirenkama, ją įtakoja daugybė faktorių – skurdas, nepriteklius, klaidingas gyvenimo būdas, priklausomybės, neturėjimas nuolatinės gyvenamosios vietos. Benamystę patiriantys asmenys turi daugybę problemų, kurių patys nepajėgia išspręsti, dėl to jiems reikalinga socialinio darbuotojo pagalba. Tinkama socialinio darbuotojo pagalba asmenims, kurie gyvena laikino apgyvendinimo namuose yra pagrįsta socialinio darbuotojo veikla. Lietuvos statistikos departamento duomenimis 2018 metais Lietuvoje veikė 25 nakvynės namai, kuriuose per metus gyveno 3007 žmonių, lyginant su 2017 metų duomenimis, šis skaičius išaugo 20,6 %. 2018 metais nakvynės namuose gyveno 2359 vyrų ir 648 moterų. Analizuojant 2017 metų ir 2018 metų rodiklius, vyrų, kurie gyveno nakvynės namuose skaičius padidėjo 16,1 %, o moterų net 40,3%. Vadinas asmenų, kuriems reikalinga nakvynės namų paslauga skaičius ženkliai auga. Vadinasi daugėjant asmenų, kurie neturi nuolatinės gyvenamosios vietos, kartu didėja poreikis socialinių darbuotojų, kurie vykdo veiklą su šia asmenų grupe. | en_US |
