| dc.description | Identification of the problem /relevance of the research. It has been established that self-esteem of Lithuanians is low, and they tend to be critical of themselves and others. Researchers of emotional intelligence state that this has to do with emotional literacy. In order to grow up as emotionally mature people in society, it is necessary to develop emotional intelligence of children. However, the problem of low emotional literacy among educators and parents is faced. The research problem – what is the significance of emotional intelligence in the development of the social competence among pre-primary children?
