dc.description	Relevance of the topic: A social care institution for the elderly and old people is a home where they meet the sunset of their lives. The transition of an elderly person from his or her usual home environment to the environment of the social care institution is one of the most painful and significant events in his or her life. This is why the social worker activities to facilitate the adaptation processes of the elderly and old people in the social care institution is very relevant. Problem of the research: What is the need of the social services for the elderly and old people in a social care institution? Object of the research: The need of the social services for the elderly and old people in the social care institution. Aim of the research: Determine the need of the social services for the elderly and old people in a social care institution. Objectives of the research: 1. Reveal the peculiarities of aging of the elderly and old people. 2. Theoretically discuss the concept, type, and provision of social services in Lithuania. 3. Investigate the need of the social services for the elderly and old people in a social care institution. Methodology of the research and people, who participated in the research: Quantitative descriptive research. Elderly and old people. Results of the empirical research: After analysing the results of the quantitative research, it can be stated that the residents of the social care institution expressed satisfaction with catering, comprehensive counselling, and health care services. One of the most difficult adaptation periods is the decreased income and the lack of the opportunity to live in one room. The vast majority of respondents believe that this institution provides good living conditions that guarantee them a dignified old age. After summarizing all the data of the research, it can be seen that the need of the social services for the elderly and old people is necessary in order to create dignified and fulfilling living conditions that help integrate into the environment and to foster human values.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: Socialinės globos įstaiga pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms – namai, kuriuose jie pasitinka savo gyvenimo saulėlydį. Pagyvenusio žmogaus perėjimas iš savo įprastos namų aplinkos į bendro gyvenimo namų aplinką - vienas skaudžiausių ir reikšmingiausių įvykių jo gyvenime. Būtent dėl to, labai aktualus yra socialinio darbuotojo veiklų poreikis, siekiant palengvinti senų ir pagyvenusių žmonių adaptacijos procesus socialinės globos namuose. Tyrimo problema: Koks socialinių paslaugų poreikis pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms socialinės globos įstaigoje? Tyrimo objektas: Socialinių paslaugų poreikis pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms globos įstaigoje. Tyrimo tikslas: Nustatyti socialinių paslaugų poreikį pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms socialinės globos įstaigoje. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1.Atskleisti pagyvenusių ir senų žmonių senėjimo ypatumus. 2.Teoriškai aptarti socialinių paslaugų sampratą, rūšis ir teikimą Lietuvoje. 3.Ištirti socialinių paslaugų poreikį pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms socialinės globos įstaigoje. Tyrimo metodika ir tiriamieji: Kiekybinis aprašomasis tyrimas. Pagyvenę ir seni žmonės. Empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: Išanalizavus gautus kiekybinio tyrimo rezultatus, galima teigti, jog socialinės globos įstaigos gyventojai pasitenkinimą išreiškė maitinimo, visapusiško konsultavimo bei sveikatos priežiūros paslaugomis. Vieną iš sunkiausiu adaptacinių laikotarpių įvardija sumažėjusias pajamas ir galimybės gyventi vienam kambaryje nebuvimą. Didžioji dauguma respondentų, mano, jog šioje įstaigoje sudarytos geros gyvenimo sąlygos, kurios užtikrina jiems orią senatvę. Apibendrinant visus tyrimo duomenis galima matyti, kad socialinių paslaugų poreikis pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms yra būtinas norint sudaryti orias, lūkesčius atitinkančias gyvenimo sąlygas kurios padeda integruotis į aplinką, bei puoselėti žmogiškąsias vertybes.	en_US
