dc.description	Relevance of the topic: the successful actions and results of social workers in working with families at social risk depend to a large extent on the professional competence of social workers and this is a sufficiently important factor for the quality of social work. It requires the continuous improvement of social workers: to expand and deepen knowledge, develop skills and build on and improve the values of social work. Problem of the research: what is the need to improve the professional competencies of social workers working with families at social risk. The object of the thesis: the need to improve the professional competencies of social workers working with families at social risk. The aim of thesis: to determine the need to improve the professional competencies of social workers working with the host who are at social risk. The tasks of the thesis: 1. Describe the concept of professional competencies to be improved by a social worker. 2. To define the activities of social workers with families at social risk. 3. To identify the need to improve the professional competencies of social workers working with families at social risk. The research methods and subjects: was performed a quantitative reasearch. The questionnaire consisted of 20 questions. The questionnaire answered 30 respondents. The main results of the empirical research: the results of the survey revealed the opinion of the majority of respondents that they would like to meet the need for knowledge about: family and communication psychology, management of behavior in conflict and stressful situations, peculiarities of communication with the media in social work practice. According to some respondents, there is a need to improve the planning of social support for a family at social risk. Most respondents want to improve their ability to work with depressed and frustrated clients. Some respondents indicated that there is no survey in the workplace to find out in which areas they need to improve. Researchers pointed out that the need for improvement is difficult to meet due to: non-reimbursable costs, low supply of publications on topics of concern. Some respondents would like postgraduate studies and joint sessions with mental health professionals.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	Temos aktualumas: sėkmingi socialinių darbuotojų veiksmai ir rezultatai darbe su patiriančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis, didžiąja dalimi priklauso nuo socialinių darbuotojų profesinės kompetencijos ir tai yra pakankamai svarbus veiksnys socialinio darbo kokybei. Jis reikalauja nuolatinio socialinių darbuotojų tobulėjimo: plėsti ir gilinti žinias, ugdyti įgūdžius ir remtis socialinio darbo vertybėmis ir jas tobulinti. Tyrimo problema: koks yra socialinių darbuotojų, dirbančių su patiriančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis, profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo poreikis. Tyrimo objektas: socialinių darbuotojų, dirbančių su patiriančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis, profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo poreikis. Tyrimo tikslas: nustatyti socialinių darbuotojų, dirbančių su patirančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis, profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo poreikį. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Aprašyti socialinio darbuotojo tobulinamų profesinių kompetencijų sampratą. 2. Apibrėžti socialinių darbuotojų veiklą su patiriančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis. 3. Identifikuoti socialinių darbuotojų, dirbančių su patiriančiomis socialinę riziką šeimomis, profesinių kompetencijų tobulinimo poreikį. Tyrimo metodika ir tiramieji: atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas. Tyrimo anketą sudarė 20 uždaro tipo klausimų. Į anketą atsakė 30 respondetų. Pagrindiniai empirinio tyrimo rezultatai: tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė daugumos respondentų nuomonę, kad norėtų patenkinti žinių poreikį apie: šeimos ir bendravimo psichologiją, elgesio konfliktinėse ir stresinėse situacijose valdymą, bendravimo su žiniasklaida ypatumus socialinio darbo praktikoje. Dalies respondentų nuomone reikia tobulėti planuojant socialinę paramą šeimai, patiriančiai socialinę riziką. Dauguma respondentų nori tobulinti įgūdį dirbti su depresyviais bei nusivylusiais klientais. Dalis respondentų nurodė, jog darbovietėse nevyksta apklausos išsiaiškinti kokiose srityse jiems kyla poreikis tobulėti. Tiriamieji nurodė, kad patenkinti tobulėjimo poreikį sunku dėl: nekompensuojamų išlaidų, menkos leidinių pasiūlos rūpimomis temomis. Dalis atsakiusiųjų norėtų podiplominių studijų ir bendrų užsiėmimų su psichinės sveikatos specialistais.	en_US
