dc.description Aim of study: evaluate the effect of different aerobic exercises to physical activity and body mass index for patients with arterial hypertension. Study tasks: 1. To identify the effect of different aerobic exercises on physical activity. 2. To identify the effect of different aerobic exercises on cardiovascular system. 3. To assess the effect of different aerobic exercises on body mass index. Study methods: at the beginning of the study, physical activity was assessed using a 6 minutes walking test, a cardiovascular system using pulse oximeter and an arterial blood pressure monitor. Body mass index measured using the body composition analyzer Omron BF511. There were 14 subjects divided in 2 groups. In first group subjects used average intensity of cycling. In second group - average intensity of walking. Aerobic exercises lasted 2 months 3 times a week, duration was 30 minutes. Results: The results of the analysis showed that (n = 12, 85.7%) of all respondents were women and (n = 2, 14.3%) men. By age all subjects were divided into 3 groups. Group I: 69-72 years old (n = 6; 42.8%), Group II: 73-76 years old (n = 4; 28.5%); Group III: 77-80 years old (n = 4; 28.5%). On average in first group where subjects used average intensity of cycling, BMI decreased by 0.38 ± 0.08 kg / m2 for the respondent. In other group, where subjects used average intensity of walking, BMI decreased by 0.7 ± 0.16 kg / m2. On average, the pulse rate decreased by 4.85 ± 0.98 times in group I and 6.85 ± 1.12 times in the second group. On average, the systolic rate decreased by 3.57 ± 0.90 mm / Hg in group I and 4.3 ± 1.0 mm / Hg in the II group, while the diastolic decrease was 2.85 ± 0.98 mm / Hg in first group and 3.28 ± 0.69 mm / Hg in second group. The 6-minute walk test score was correlated with body mass index, a statistically significant difference was found (p = 0.008123). It has been shown that subjects with higher BMI walked shorter distance. On average, subjects in group I results increased by 32.1 ± 6.99m and in group II 44.2 ± 6.77m. Conclusion: 1. Evaluating the influence of different aerobic exercises on physical capacity, a significant improvement was noted for all respondents. However, the average intensity of walking is more effective than average intensity of cycling. 2. Assessing the influence of different aerobic exercises on the cardiovascular system, it was found that these exercises had a positive effect, and all respondents improved their rates. Walking and cycling groups did not differ significantly, but the walking group's performance improved more. 3. Evaluating the influence of different aerobic exercises on the body mass index, a decrease in this indicator was observed among all respondents, which has had an impact on the improvement of physical activity and cardiovascular characteristics. However, the walking group has been found to have achieved higher results. en
