dc.description Recently, more and more attention has been paid to the activities of social workers in dealing with addicted people. Both scientists and practitioners raise the question of how to shape social worker skills to help addicts to solve problems. It can be said that basic help addicts are primarily provided by social workers. Therefore, their professional development and the use of value principles in social work are very important. Anzenbacher (1995), Broom et al. (1992), Giddens (1983) examined the positions of ethical valuable, distinguishing the main hierarchies of groups values, but little attention has been paid to the values of the social worker's working principles when working with addicted people. The closest researches on this subject in Lithuania are about values. However, research on the value of the activity has not been found. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to reveal the social worker's value principles in working with addicts. The object of the research is rinciples of social worker, dealing with addict people. The purpose of this research is to determine social worker job principles, working with an addict people. The tasks of analysis are to highlight social worker job principles and importance; explain social worker job title; describe social worker values and principles; explain the meaning of addiction. Scientific literature has been analysed in theory part explaining social worker values and principles needed working with addicts. Interview method has been used for investigation. Data for this reaserch were collected in May, 2018. The respondents - three social workers, dealing with an addicts. It was concluded that social worker, working with addicted people, is guided by these principles: individualization, acceptance, non - judgemental attitude, confidentiality. dc.description.abstract Pastaruoju metu vis daugiau dėmesio skiriama socialinių darbuotojų veiklai dirbant su priklausomybių turinčiais asmenimis. Galima teigti, kad pagrindinę pagalbą priklausomiems asmenimis visų pirma suteikia socialiniai darbuotojai. Todėl jų kaip specialistų tobulėjimas bei vertybinių principų naudojimas socialiniame darbe labai svarbus. Anzenbacher (1995), Broom ir kt. (1992), Giddens (1983) nagrinėjo vertybinių etikos pozicijas, išskirdami pagrindines vertybių grupių hierarchijas, tačiau mažai domėtasi socialinių darbuotojų vertybiniais veiklos principais dirbant su priklausomybių turinčiais asmenimis. Tyrimų apie socialinių darbuotojų vertybes Lietuvoje yra atlikta keletas, tačiau apie vertybinius veiklos principus dirbant su priklausomybių turinčiais asmenimis rasti nepavyko. en_US
