dc.description	This thesis was a test to look at a possible wireless solution to provide internet for a developing area of a small village. By testing this solution, I clarified what was involved in deploying such a network and the obstacles that arise as well as what kind of problems this solution might present in the future. This test was conducted between two buildings: one that had an internet connection (Internet service provider) available and a newly constructed building that did not (client). Antennas were mounted on both buildings and a file sharing server was deployed on the client side of the network for network speed and stability testing. The surrounding area was scanned for noise that could negatively impact the connection. The routers used in the network were old and cheap, as I used what was available to me at the time. Very little noise was detected and an acceptable noise floor was set. The signal between the antennas could not reach optimal strength, but was at an acceptable level. At the time file transfer speed between buildings was found to be at 3 megabytes per second which can be increased in the future with equipment of better quality. The initial findings indicated that this was a good solution to provide rural areas, without any infrastructure in place with an internet connection. More testing is required to ensure that no major problems present themselves.	en
dc.description.abstract	Šis darbas buvo bandymas pažvelgti į galimą bevielį sprendimą, kuris suteiktų internetą besivystančiam mažo kaimo rajonui. Išbandydamas šį sprendimą, paaiškinau, kas sudaro diegiant šį sprendimą ir iškilusias kliūtis, taip pat, kokios problemos gali kilti ateityje. Šis bandymas buvo atliktas tarp dviejų pastatų: pirmas pastatas yra Neveronyse kuris turi priėjimą prie interneto ryšio (interneto paslaugų teikėjas) ir naujai pastatytą pastatą Pabiržyje (klientas), kuris neturi interneto ryšio. Antenos buvo sumontuotos abiejuose pastatuose. Kliento pusėje buvo įdiegtas failų saugojimo serveris tinklo greičio ir stabilumo bandymams. Apylinkė buvo nuskenuota dėl triukšmo, kuris gali neigiamai paveikti ryšį. Tinkle naudojami maršrutizatoriai buvo seni ir pigūs, nes naudojosi tuo metu turima įranga. Pastebėta jog yra labai mažas triukšmas apylinkėje ir nustatytas priimtinas triukšmo lygis. Signalas tarp antenų negalėjo pasiekti optimalaus stiprumo, bet buvo priimtino lygio. Taip pat buvo rasta jog failų perdavimo greitis tarp pastatų yra 3 megabaitai per sekundę. Greitis kuris ateityje gali būti padidintas su geresnės kokybės įranga. Pradinės išvados parodė, jog tai yra geras sprendimas kaimo gyventojus aprūpinti su interneto ryšiu. Taipogi yra reikalinga atlikti daugiau bandymų, kad būtu surastos visos galimos didelės problemos.	en_US
