dc.description The bachelor thesis is focused on the biophilic environment in the hotel and its possible impact on the guests based on the example of the four star hotel Europa Royale Druskininkai. The research has revealed what can be the impact made by being in a particular area. By analysing the research results it is not hard to understand how and which biophilic environment elements have been most likely to be chosen as the most important ones by the guests of Europa Royale Druskininkai and could be considered as the main factors which greatly influence guests’ decision. The topic is very relevant nowadays and has not been addressed in Lithuania so far. There are no hotels which could be positioned as biophilic design ambassadors in Lithuania; however, some hotels which at some or another point could apply these environment elements in their design can be distinguished. Considering the changes in hotel industry and dynamics of environment, it is important to react and be in line with the new tendencies. 2019 year tendencies dictate that ‘eco’ is a new aspiration (trivago Business Blog, 2019). Applying principles through the visual spectrum – is application of biophilic environment. This is a new way of directing the hotels towards ecology and environmental sustainability. The aim of exploring the biophilic environment in question is to further understand hotel guests, what specifically encourages returning, choosing this particular hotel environment visual figuration in contrast to other hotels, and emphasizing the well-being of guests in such environment. The aim of the thesis. Having researched the effect of biophilic environment on the four stars hotel Europa Royale Druskininkiai guests, to identify possibilities of biophilic environment elements application in hotel environment. Objectives of the (professional BA thesis): 1. To analyse theoretical hotel’s Biophilic Environment aspects doing influence to guests choice. 2. To do situation analysis Europa Royale Druskininkai hotel based on thesis. 3. By doing research elucidate, how hotel guests react to Biophilic Environment. 4. To foresee Biophilic Environment applicability opportunities in four star hotel Europa Royale Druskininkai. Methods: analysis of the scientific literature and other sources of information, online survey, visual effect method. The structure: The theoretical part reveals eco hotels conception, analyses the categories of hotels and range of services, discusses guests segmentation, factors affecting hotel choice and the concept of biophilic environments. Based on analysis of biophilic environment concept, the influence of environmental elements on the hotel guests is evaluated. The analytical part of the work introduces the object under the thesis and research findings. The aim of the research is to determine the elements of biophilic environment which are most likely to be considered as favourite among hotel guests. In addition, to find out which elements or ideas guests would suggest applying to work object and how they feel in discussed environment. The analysis of research results revealed that the Europa Royale Druskininkai hotel could be considered as perspective place of biophilic environment elements application which would attract more guests and create the market value in context of not only Druskininkai, but in Lithuania as well. Respondents answers revealed that elements of biophilic environment have a positive impact on hotel guests, which leads to the idea of elements influence to guests’ decision - the assumption that has been confirmed by the research results. The project part includes the four star Europa Royale Druskininkai hotel development guidelines and suggestions that could not only serve the hotel for marketing purposes but also position itself as a promoter of a biophilic environment (meaning a lover of ecology) and becoming a unique and exclusive hotel. Adapting the elements of the biophilic environment to the hotel environment would be a great way to refresh the hotel without sacrificing the value of the historic building (Tsar's hospital) and reconciling the concepts of modernity and luxury in the hotel. The results/conclusions. Research results revealed that biophilic environment makes positive influence on hotel guests and its integration into hotel environment is perspective and innovative solution. The best ways to attract more people and create unique value by integrating biophilic environment elements into the hotel Europa Royale Druskininkai environment are as follows: applying ‘green wall’ nature motives at the reception desk (moss, forest wall installation); creation of natural lighter area; adding more nature elements such as flowers, green installations (“moss paintings” at the restaurant and in hotel rooms; creation of winter garden. en
dc.description.abstract Biofilinio dizaino pritaikomumas yra labai platus. Lietuvoje viešbučių, taikančių biofilinį dizainą, ir pateikiančių save kaip biofilinio dizaino skelbėjų,- nėra, tačiau keletas, kurių elementus galima būtų įžvelgti žaliuosiuose viešbučiuose, yra. Tačiau akivaizdu yra viena- biofilinės aplinkos elementai turi labai svarbų vaidmenį viešbutyje kaip gebėjimas išlaikyti lojalių klientų ratą, sukurti nepamirštamą ir nepakartojamą patirtį bei džiaugsmą. Pastaroji idėja gali būti puikiai pagrindžiama „Power of the Online Review: Mining feedback for impactful guest experience investments“ pranešimu, kuriame atskleidžiama, kad net 56 procentai viešbučio darbuotojų tiki, jog viešbučio svečiai būtų labiau linkę sugrįžti, jei aplinkoje būtų aptariamojo dizaino elementų (kaip augalai viešbučio viduje) (Zack Sterkenberg, 2017). Situacija Lietuvoje šiuo klausimu prasta, kadangi gamtos detalių, įvairių su gamta susijusių instaliacijų viešbučių aplinkoje yra labai mažai. Turint omenyje mūsų gamtos turtus, šalies grožį,- pritaikyti šį dizainą viešbučio aplinkoje- naujo svečių segmento – ekologijos mylėtojų- tai svečių pritraukimas ir turizmo didinimas Lietuvos mastu, tačiau ir draugiškų aplinkai principų taikymas. Tema aktuali, kadangi atveria naujas galimybes plėstis į naujas rinkas. Be abejonės, šia tema siekiama dar labiau suprasti viešbučio svečius, tačiau šiuo atveju per viešbučio dizainą, per vaizdinį spektrą. Norima išsiaiškinti, kaip aptariamoji aplinka veikia viešbučio svečius, kas skatina grįžti į tokį dizainą turintį viešbutį, kokios detalės yra svarbiausios jų akimis, kaip jie jaučiasi tokioje aplinkoje. en_US
