dc.description Tourism is one of the fastest growing economic areas. People travel with interest in the culture and landscapes of other cities or countries. The more tourists arrive, the greater the economic level of the place, the better the urban infrastructure. This work examines the attractiveness of cultural heritage objects and the quality of their services in order to evaluate their potential for tourism, which would increase the economic level of the city of Telšiai. This city is rich in cultural heritage. They are handled and maintained. They have different uses. The most interesting tourists are cultural heritage objects - prayer houses and museums. Work problem. Lack of opportunities for Telšiai city Culture objects to be used for tourism. Telšiai is rich in cultural heritage, but tourist flows are not very large. Since 2005 until 2017 more than 10,000 travelers visit this city on average. However, making cultural heritage more attractive to tourists and adapting to their needs could attract more visitors. It is important to present the heritage as interesting and aesthetic as possible. It is important to allow someone to touch one particular story in a certain way. More active tourists to Telšiai not only improve the infrastructure, but also the economic level of the city. Work objective. To evaluate the possibilities of Telšiai city cultural heritage objects for tourism. Methods: analysis of scientific literature, quantitative analysis, SWOT analysis. Structure of the thesis - Information on the World Cultural Heritage is taught in the theoretical part. Presented categories of heritage, values. Types of tourism are discussed and tourism is related to cultural heritage resources. Travelers' motives regarding tourism and cultural heritage are reviewed. The second part reviews the situation of cultural heritage in Telšiai. Following the questionnaire survey of Telsiai city objects, the attractiveness of cultural heritage is being explored. Strengths and weaknesses of cultural heritage are distinguished in SWOT analysis. The interviews with people working in the tourism sector deal with how to improve the quality of tourism-related heritage. The last part of the proposals as a cultural heritage could be adapted to the tourism sector and its various types. Results of work. The main values of cultural heritage: old age, rarity, uniqueness, functionality, education, economy, associations. Under these aspects, cultural heritage is assessed, it is decided whether to classify it as a guardian. Heritage is associated with diverse types of tourism. The thesis distinguishes between adventure, medical, wildlife, pilgrimage, cultural and ecotourism. People are interested in a particular culture, tradition, history, customs or certain objects. Every traveler has certain motives. The thesis identifies four groups of motives for tourist travel: "highly motivated", "partially motivated", travelers who are just "add-on", "random tourists". Cultural heritage is distinguished into tangible and intangible. Material is further divided into movable and immovable. One of the most important criteria for attractiveness of Telsiai city material heritage is accessibility for disabled people, price, guide services, uniqueness, infrastructure and accessibility. The most important criteria of intangible heritage are: employment, duration of education, working time, price and clarity of information. Suggestions / recommendations. Opportunities for people with disabilities, how to install ramps, marking stairs for the blind, innovative technologies could increase the opportunities for the tourists to present the cultural heritage of Telšiai city. Various events would also help attract tourists. This could be "battles of the mind", outdoor movie evenings, picnics, festivals, various fairs. In order to increase the flow of tourists, it is very important for them to communicate and advertise. You can do this on the Internet, on social networks, on news portals, on TV, on radio or on outdoor advertising. en

Kuo daugiau atvyksta turistų, tuo labiau keliamas tos vietos ekonominis lygis, gerinama miesto infrastruktūra. Šiame darbe nagrinėjamas kultūros paveldo objektų patrauklumas bei juose teikiamų paslaugų kokybė, siekiant įvertinti jų pritaikymo turizmui galimybes, kas padidintų Telšių miesto ekonominį lygį. Šiame mieste gausu kultūros paveldo objektų. Jie yra tvarkomi ir prižiūrimi. Jiems pritaikytos įvairios paskirtys. Labiausiai dominantys turistus kultūros paveldo objektai - maldos namai ir muziejai. en_US
