dc.description	The Relevance of work (professional BA thesis) - Sports tourism is one of the most popular form of tourism and popular tourist destinations. Sport has been one of the favourite and most active activities of mankind since ancient times. Many people around the world, including in Lithuania, are engaged in sports as a form of leisure, participating in various sporting events. People's interest in sport encourages tour operators to create touristic trips and services of interest to tourists, so sport tourism is expanding and developing, and the regional and state economy is expanding. The aim of the (professional BA thesis) - the aim of the work is to analyze the possibilities of sport tourism development in Kaunas city and district. The object of the work - development of sport tourism in Kaunas city and district. Methods of the (professional BA thesis) – analysis of scientific literature and information sources, statistical data analysis, expert interview, questionnaire survey, SWOT analysis. The structure of work – The final work consists of theoretical, analytical and project part, conclusions, list of literature and information sources, annexes. Theoretical part analyzes the theoretical concept of sport, classification, resources, infrastructure and services. Analytical part analyzes tourism and sport tourism situation, infrastructure and services and sport events in Kaunas city and district, analyzes qualitative and quantitative research results, and SWOT analysis. Proposals presented in the design part are related to sports tourism in Kaunas city and district. The results of work - the analysis of scientific literature and information sources has shown that sport tourism has many similarities with other types of tourism, is a very promising type of tourism and that sport tourism development depends on good tourism and sports infrastructure. Analyzes of the analytical part revealed the advantages of Kaunas city and district and the improving situation of sport tourism. The results of the qualitative research showed that the infrastructure of sports tourism is constantly Improving and that Kaunas city and district are paying a lot of attention to this type of tourism. The results of the quantitative survey revealed different views of the respondents on sport tourism, favorable evaluation of sports tourism infrastructure, lack of information about the possibilities of sport tourism. The paper presents recommendations for the development of sport tourism in Kaunas city and district.	en
dc.description.abstract	Sportinis turizmas vienas iš populiariausių ir daug turistų sudominančių turizmo rūšių. Sportas nuo seniausių laikų yra vienas iš mėgstamiausių ir aktyviausių žmonijos užsiėmimų. Daugybė žmonių visame pasaulyje, taip pat ir Lietuvoje sportu užsiima kaip laisvalaikio forma, dalyvauja įvairiuose sportiniuose renginiuose. Žmonių domėjimas sportu skatina kelionių organizatorius kurti turistus dominančias sportines keliones, maršrutus ir paslaugas, todėl sportinis turizmas plečiasi ir vystosi, o jam besiplečiant kyla regiono ir valstybės ekonomika.	en_US
