dc.description	Relevance of the topic.Hundreds of different cultures of different countries interact with each other today in a world of globalization. Constantly overlapping, there is a growing lack of authenticity, which is why the mass tourism industry is playing the role of cultural tourism, which is one of the fastest growing and developing tourism sectors in today's globalization world (Richards, 2010). Cultural tourism, as an integral part of modern sustainable policy, promotes the development of regional culture, the promotion of traditions and the implementation of innovative approaches (Repšienė, 2011). The European Union legal acts distinguish cultural tourism as a priority, which should receive more attention (Švagždienė., B, 2016). Working object.Possibilities of cultural tourism development in Kaunas district Work objective. To assess the opportunities for cultural tourism in Kaunasdistrict The objectives: 1. To reveal the concept of cultural tourism 2. Analyze elements of cultural tourism infrastructure 3. Investigate specialists' opinion about Kaunas district 4. To make proposals that would help to develop cultural tourism in Kaunas district Methods of work - Analysis of various sources, scientific literature, qualitative research, SWOT Analysis The structure – In the first part of the work, the theoretical part examines the concept and elements of cultural tourism, the characteristics of the cultural tourist, the tourist and country benefits of cultural tourism, and the impact of culture on tourism.In the second part of this work, the situation of cultural tourism in Lithuania and Kaunas region is carried out analysis of qualitative analysis based on the SWOT analysis method.The third part of the work offers some suggestions to help develop cultural tourism in Kaunas district.	en
dc.description.abstract	Šiomis dienomis gyvenant globalizacijos pasaulyje, tarpusavyje sąveikauja šimtai įvairių valstybių kultūrų. Joms nuolat persipinant, vis labiau pasigendama autentiškumo, todėl masinėje turizmo industrijoje iškyla kultūrinio turizmo vaidmuo, kuris šiandieniniame globalizacijos pasaulyje yra vienas sparčiausiai augančių ir besivystančių turizmo sektorių (Richards, 2010). Kultūrinis turizmas, kaip neatsiejama šiuolaikinės tvarios politikos dalis, skatina regionų kultūros plėtojimą, tradicijų puoselėjimą, inovatyvių požiūrių įgyvendinimą (Repšienė, 2011). Europos sąjungos teisiniuose aktuose kultūrinį turizmą išskiria, kaip prioritetinę kryptį, kuriai turėtų būti skiriamas didesnis dėmesys (Švagždienė., B, 2016).	en_US
