dc.description	In this professional BA thesis is analyzed cultural tourism. In order to understand it, it is necessary to analyze its components, such as the cultural environment, cultural tourist and cultural tourism resources. Based on these concepts and data collected, an analysis of the cultural tourism situation in Kaunas city can be performed and development opportunities assessed. As cultural tourism is one of the most important types of tourism, it is very important to analyze and improve it so that tourism can flourish as a branch of the economy and bring benefits to the state. The city's heritage and culture occupy a very important place in this tourism sphere. Fostering the latter contributes to the growth of tourism, and the expansion of cultural tourism can improve the economy by attracting more visitors to the city, creating new jobs and services. Also, performing various activities in favor of cultural tourism improves the image of the city. For these reasons, it is very important to explore and analyze cultural tourism and look for new proposals that can benefit this tourism development. The aim of the professional BA thesis is to analyze the possibilities of cultural tourism development in Kaunas city. Methods of the professional BA thesis - The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes scientific literature on cultural tourism and its components. The analytical part provides information on the situation of cultural tourism in Kaunas city. After analyzing the situation and gathering information about Kaunas city, research and analysis is carried out - questionnaire survey and interview with tourism representatives. There is also a SWOT analysis to assess the potential of Kaunas cultural tourism development. The structure - Theoretical aspects of cultural tourism are discussed in the theoretical part. This part analyzes the concept of cultural tourism, cultural environment, cultural tourism resources and development of cultural tourism. The analytical part of the paper discusses the possibilities of cultural tourism and reveals the results of the study of Kaunas cultural tourism situation. The project part presents the directions and possibilities of cultural tourism development in Kaunas. The results/conclusions. The analysis of cultural tourism and its resources theory is carried out on the basis of scientific literature. Based on the information gathered in the theory, the analysis of the situation of cultural tourism in Kaunas city is performed. According to this analysis, research is carried out - a survey and an interview. The purpose of the survey is to determine how the society assesses the situation of Kaunas city cultural tourism. There was also an interview with tourism representatives. These interviews helped to pinpoint the strengths, problems, perspectives and more of the city. On the basis of the researches and their results, SWOT analysis was performed. On the basis of this analysis, there are a number of problems that should be addressed in order not to undermine the cultural tourism of this city. According to the identified problems, suggestions and recommendations have been made, which, if successful, must improve Kaunas cultural tourism development and other. Short suggestions/recommendations - opportunities for cultural tourism in Kaunas have not yet been sufficiently developed. Ways to improve and grow are always there. After analyzing the situation and based on the results of the research, it can be assumed that the information dissemination in Kaunas city should be improved, information provided in certain places in English, an attempt to solve the problem with working places of tourist places, improvement of urban infrastructure and so on.	en
