Relevance of the topic. The attractiveness of Kaunas city is very important not only for attracting tourists or new business investors, but also for the residents of the city. Kaunas is a city that is building a good life, and the inhabitants are proud of being resident. The city, through its work and ongoing projects, aims to create an image of a hospitable and attractive city to become popular in the inbound and local tourism markets. One of the priorities of Kaunas city is the promotion of new ideas and attention to the business community. The new Kaunas start-ups program encourages entrepreneurship of Kaunas city residents. Enables prospective companies to get professional recommendations, increase the attractiveness of Kaunas startups for private equity investments and attract foreign starters. Kaunas also strives to make the city full of culture, Kaunas city is declared to be the European Capital of Culture in 2022. All projects promoting Kaunas city and other city resources, help the city to develop, attract new business investors, even more tourist flows and become a better place to live.
Working object. Assessment of Kaunas city attractiveness for tourists.
Work objective. To evaluate the attractiveness of Kaunas city for tourists.
In the first part of the work - the theoretical part examines the factors that create the attractiveness of the city, the significance of the city infrastructure for the development of tourism, the elements that create the attractiveness of the city, such as cultural, natural and social resources, as well as the quality of services created by tourism.
In the second part of the work the analysis of the situation of Kaunas city is carried out, based on the PESTE analysis method, as well as Kaunas city infrastructure and cultural and natural resources are analyzed. Quantitative analysis is performed based on SWOT analysis.
The third part of the thesis offers suggestions for increasing the attractiveness of Kaunas
city. |

Kauno miesto patrauklumas yra labai svarbus ne tik turistų ar naujų
verslo investuotojų pritraukimui, bet ir patiems miesto gyventojams. Kaunas – tai miestas, kuriama
gyventi gera, kuriama gyventojai didžiuojasi tuo, kad yra kauniečiai. Miestas savo darbais,
vykdomais projektais siekia sukurti saugaus, svetingo ir patrauklaus miesto įvaizdį, kad jis taptų
populiarus atvykstamojo ir vietinio turizmo rinkose. Vienas iš Kauno miesto prioritetų yra naujų
idėjų skatinimas ir dėmesys pradedančiųjų verslų bendruomenei. Nauja programa „Kauno
startuoliai“ skatina Kauno miesto gyventojų verslumą. Suteikia galimybę perspektyvioms įmonėms
gauti profesionalias rekomendacijas, didinti Kauno startuolių patrauklumą privataus kapitalo
investicijoms bei pritraukiant startuolius iš užsienio. Kaunas taip pat siekia, kad miestas būtų pilnas
kultūros, neveltui Kauno miestas paskelbtas būti Europos kultūros sostine 2022. Visi Kauno miestą
garsinantys projektai ir kiti miesto ištekliai, padeda miestui tobulėti, pritraukti naujų verslo
investuotojų, dar daugiau turistų srautų ir tapti geresne vieta gyventi. |
