Description of the professional BA thesis - in this last piece of work culinary tourism is one of the sightseeing tour group clasification, but its not defined. Apart from this, the origins of this activity can already be found in tourism around the world. Increasingly, culinary tourism is being mentioned and attempted to develop regions and countries. That is why it is important to analyze the current and potential opportunities for culinary tourism development in the chosen region of Aukštaitija. The main goal for the professional BA thesis - to analyze the preconditions for culinary tourism development in Aukštaitija region. Methods of the professional BA thesis - literature analysis, qualitative research. BA thesis work structure – the theoretical part of the thesis analyzes culinary tourism in the context of cultural tourism. It also analyzes the history of culinary tourism and its development, tourism as a resource and its importance for regional development. Analytical part of the work presents analysis of situation in Aukštaitija region and analysis and results of qualitative research. Proposals are presented in the design part. BA thesis results – summarizing the scientific theoretical literature, it can be said that culinary tourism is an integral part of life and this tourism niche will continue to grow statistically in the future, which will encourage tourists to visit all the most remote parts of the world. Analyzing the results of the research, it can be stated that the strength of Aukštaitija is unique entertainment and small distances between the objects and catering establishments, and the weakness of funds and low motivation of entrepreneurs. Short suggestions/recommendations – after evaluating the results of the research, it can be stated that in Aukštaitija region there is a lack of organized events, fairs, festivals and low motivation of entrepreneurs to prepare them, therefore it is proposed to develop new projects related to events and larger projects, to cooperate with other institutions and thus to develop the region of Aukštaitija through culinary tourism. |

turizmas kuris yra priskiriamas prie pažintinių kelionių grupės klasifikacijos, tačiau nėra aiškiai
apibrėžtas. Neskaitant to, šios veiklos užuomazgų jau galima atrasti viso pasaulio turizme. Vis
dažniau yra minima ir bandoma naudotis kulinariniu turizmu plėtojant regionus ir savo šalį. Dėl to
yra aktualu išanalizuoti esamas ir galimas kulinarinio turizmo plėtojimo galimybes pasirinktame
Aukštaitijos regione. |
