dc.description Relevance of the research: It is widely accepted that the way parents raise their children directly affects their behaviour upon adulthood. According to Kurienė (2016), contemporary parents are searching for answers on how to raise children correctly daily. Such parents often get lost amongst numerous theories regarding parenthood, a variety of promoted values and their own childhood experiences. Identification of the problem – The role pre-school educational facilities play in the promotion of positive parenthood. The aim/goal of the paper – Strengthening of positive parenthood skills in pre-school educational facilities. Subject of the paper – Discussion of the ways positive parenthood skills are strengthened in pre-school educational facilities. Objectives of the paper: 1. Discuss the notion and relevance of positive parenthood, as well as ways of promoting it in preschool educational facilities. 2. Carry out a quantitative study, evaluating the opportunities to strengthen positive parenthood in pre-school educational facilities, as well as analyze and present the results of the aforementioned study. 3. Initiate, plan, and bring to life an educational project based on the research findings. Research methods: · Analysis of scholarly literature, which examines the role of pre-school educational facilities as agents strengthening positive parenthood. · Quantitative research: online survey, the aim of which is to evaluate parents attitudes towards the strengthening of positive parenthood skills in pre-school educational facilities. Conclusions: The analysis of scholarly literature has described positive parenthood as a proper way of caring for a child, characterized by mindful discipline, which is carried out taking into account the physical, psychological, intelectual, social, as well as spiritual development needs of a child. Pre-school educational facilities play a significant role in the promotion of positive parenthood. The quantitative study has revealed that parents are familiar with the notion of positive parenthood, however, they would like to see preschool educational facilities dedicate more attention to promote positive parenthood. The conducted educational project reached the goal of bringing positive parenthood ideas to the attention of parents. Parents that have participated in the event indicated that they will apply the ideas of positive parenthood more often. Structure of the paper: This paper consists of 3 chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to discuss positive parenthood skill development opportunities in pre-school educational facilities. In the second chapter, the findings of a quantitative study are presented and processed. The third chapter presents information regarding the educational project that was carried out in cooperation with parents of children attending kindergarten. en
