dc.description Identification of the problem / relevance of the research. J. Dailidienė (1989) and A. Gučas (1994) claim that 3-4 years old, it is the age when the children have begun to speak, but that is not enough. This is the most significant period for developing a child's language. A number of methods are needed to bring language competences and language skills to good. This applies to folklore, which is rarely remembered. Folklore texts are suitable because they contain a lot of interesting words, stories that speak the language of the child itself, the child develops his or her speaking skills, the vocabulary will have, and the communication always has something to say, the more words the child knows the free child will be able to express their thoughts. Problem: Insufficient use of folklore to develop children's linguistic competence. The aim/goal of the paper: To reveal the possibilities of use of folklore to develop the linguistic competence of children aged 3-4. The scientific literature analysis 9 revealed the potential for use of folklore for children aged 3-4 to 2007, but it was learned from the survey of the educators that they were developing language competences for children aged 3-4 and above. Integrates the IT and folklore texts by providing possibilities different from those revealed by the literature. The volume of the paper: The work consists of three divisions. The first section is intended to provide an overview of the use of folklore texts for children aged 3-4 to 2004 in a theoretical perspective. In the second, quantitative study data are presented and systemated. The third chapter provides information on the educational project that has been implemented in the preschool age group. en
